HD fence and gate textures by Kuky

[Mustang]

This mod gives HD fence and gate textures to DCS World (see attachment at bottom of post)

 

Thanks go to Kuky for his great work and the permission given to release them :)

 

Installation:

 

1. Make sure you have WinRAR installed or similar software for inserting the files

2. navigate C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\Terrain\vfstextures folder (or wherever your DCS World is located)

3. copy 'barbed_fence.png.dds' into Buildings_textures.zip

4. copy 'most-bok.tga.dds' and 'tros.tga.dds' into LandTextures.zip

We need a more open gamestructure so we can mod easier or we need better docs from ED to know where to find certain things. Right now I have the impression that DCS is really weird connected from one directory to another...

 

I am a 3D modeler and texture artist and it is hard to get into the logic of DCS luas and textures...

Is this a useful mode (as well as all other Mustang & Kuky modes) embedded in the latest DCS version (1.2.4.12913.167)?

Hey Skulleader, it looks like you have not correctly inserted the textures into the right files, as per the readme:

 

"3. copy 'barbed_fence.png.dds' into Buildings_textures.zip

 

4. copy 'most-bok.tga.dds' and 'tros.tga.dds' into LandTextures.zip"

 

double check to make sure you have followed these instructions correctly.

 

BTW i don't have credit for these textures, it is Kuky you have to thank for this mod :)

I would like to thank you for your explanations but after many test I meet always the same problem...

 

Here how I installed your files:

 

#1:

barbed_fence.png.dds ----> Buildings_textures.zip folder.

 

#2:

most-bok.tga.dds ---> LandTextures.zip folder.

tros.tga.dds ---> LandTextures.zip folder.

 

And I can found these two folders here: C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\Terrain\vfstextures

 

It's the first time that I meet this problem and of course I have installed many Mods...

 

If you have one idea it will be cool because I very lost now :cry:
