mr_mojo97 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 32 switches, 8 analogue axis and hat switch. I use 4 of these boards through Helios and they are excellent however quite limited especially if you're using lots of rotary encoders (radios, ILS and TACAN in my case). Plug and play too. If you're going to be building an entire cockpit you may be better with Brydling's board although you can't use rotary encoders with this IIRC MSI M5 z270 | Intel i5 7600k (OC) 4.8GHz | MSI GTX1080ti Gaming X 11Gb | 500gb Samsung 970 Evo NVME M.2 (DCS World) | 500gb Samsung 850 Evo SSD (OS and Apps) | 32Gb 2400MHz DDR4 - Crucial Ballistix | Be Quiet Silent Loop 240mm | NZXT H440 case | Thrustmaster Warthog - 47608 with Virpil Mongoose joystick base | MFG Crosswinds - 1241 | Westland Lynx collective with Bodnar X board | Pilot's seat from ZH832 Merlin | JetSeat | Oculus Rift S | Windows 10 | VA |
WannaBeGnome Posted March 28, 2013 Author Posted March 28, 2013 you meant this? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=80201, if my readings are correct you can connect 256 switches to it and one costs 65.86 €?

zaelu Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 That's not Bodnar's controller but something different. mr_mojo97 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 I think Wannabegnome was talking to me, yes that's what I was talking about, supposed to be a good board with lots of switches. Not sure if it's as easy as the Bodnar board to set up though. And the price you mentioned is a little low I think. I got quoted about £120 but hat was fully fitted, test and with all required cables etc and posted. Maybe the DIY model is a lot less though MSI M5 z270 | Intel i5 7600k (OC) 4.8GHz | MSI GTX1080ti Gaming X 11Gb | 500gb Samsung 970 Evo NVME M.2 (DCS World) | 500gb Samsung 850 Evo SSD (OS and Apps) | 32Gb 2400MHz DDR4 - Crucial Ballistix | Be Quiet Silent Loop 240mm | NZXT H440 case | Thrustmaster Warthog - 47608 with Virpil Mongoose joystick base | MFG Crosswinds - 1241 | Westland Lynx collective with Bodnar X board | Pilot's seat from ZH832 Merlin | JetSeat | Oculus Rift S | Windows 10 | VA |
Hansolo Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 IMHO the B256A13 card from Brydling is not as straight forward to use af the BU0836X. When using the B256A13 you need a connection system of some sort because the connections to the card is done by 40pin connectors and flat ribbon cable. Further you need a diode for almost all inputs and as Mojo mentioned it can't handle encoders. The BU0836X is very easy to set up as it has push type connectors. The software needed for handling encoders is also easy Having said so I am using both type of card and they are both great. The Brydling is taking the bulk of it due to the amount of inputs it can handle. I bought the B256A13 as DIY. I think the soldering took about an hour with ease.
