Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there's any 'automated' way of firing the Mavericks or dropping bombs that are loaded at the triple rails under the A-10s wings. :smartass:

Sometimes I want to fire a few shots in a row, however if I fire 2 Mavericks under the left wing and don't have time to fire the other 2 under the right wing before breaking off the plane becomes very unbalanced.

I know trimming it doesn't take long, but still I'd like to know if there's any way to fire one under the left wing and easily, if possible even automatically fire a Maverick from the opposite wing instead of having to fire one, deselect current station on the DSMS, make sure the opposite station is selected, cycle weapon profile on the HUD again and then fire the next one. Does anyone have an idea of how I could do this more efficiently?

Thanks

Couldnt you just select both stations? (Not sure if this works with different MAV types, but you could always use a symmetrical loadout)

If both stations are selected, all ordnance will be emptied from one station before the plane switches to the next one. For example, if I have 2 stations selected and 2 or 3 Mavericks loaded on each of them, all missiles from the left wing will be fired before any of the missiles of the right wing are selected.

Both stations are selected if both stations carry the same type of missiles.

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

This is because you have 2 different kinds of Mavericks, D & H, if both stations have for example AGM-65D you can fire them all in a row, this is due to the different seeker heads which need to be switched prior to firing.

You can use the missile reject HOTAS command (china hat aft short with MAV as SOI) to step through your selected missiles and fire them symmetrically.

@ ericoh: It makes sense, however all the stations had only Maverick Ds, there was no assymetry in the loadout.

@ SmokeyTheLung: That's what I was looking for, thanks! Now after firing I just have to use ChnHat aft short until the opposite Maverick station changes from STBY to RDY in the DSMS.
