Boris Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Hey guys, after a very long time away from flight sims I have decided to get back into an old hobby. I played Lock On back when it was new, but now with DCS and all the modules, I'm a bit overwhelmed. I'm conscious of the high learning curve with A-10C and Black Shark, so I'm thinking of starting with a Lock On aircraft. Since I've since lost my old Lock On copy, I bought Lock On platinum with FC2 and also A-10C and Black Shark. Is it worth upgrading to Flaming Cliffs 3 already, or is it not worth it since it's still in beta? Where do I start? Any help or advice would be appreciated :) PC Specs / Hardware: MSI z370 Gaming Plus Mainboard, Intel 8700k @ 5GHz, MSI Sea Hawk 2080 Ti @ 2100MHz, 32GB 3200 MHz DDR4 RAM Displays: Philips BDM4065UC 60Hz 4K UHD Screen, Pimax 8KX Controllers / Peripherals: VPC MongoosT-50, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, modded MS FFB2/CH Combatstick, MFG Crosswind Pedals, Gametrix JetSeat OS: Windows 10 Home Creator's Update

But what about on a simulation/gameplay level? What's a good aircraft to start on? If it's Flight Dynamics you are interested in, the T-Toad is your best bet (Su-25T), or the Grach (SU-25) for that matter. Both have the AFM (Advanced Flight Model). Advantage of the T-Toad lies in it's weaponry - capable of giving everything and it's uncle a damn good hiding.
