SEAL172 Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Seem to have a very strange line in the water. Like only part of a shader is working with water set to high or very high. ATI x800xt cat 5.12. Anyone else getting this?

ATI x800xt cat 5.12. Anyone else getting this? YES! i've had the same problem too, i'd be taking off near the ocean (in this case sochi-adler) and there would be a vertical line where the water stops getting rendered and looks monochrome :O this is also on an X800XT with 5.12 (now back on 5.11 since this)
Guest EVIL-SCOTSMAN Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 screenie ? even tho i use nvidia :) i wanna see what u all talking bout.

Mustang Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 ok, 5.12's installed, here's a few examples: gonna re-install the 5.11's now......
Guest EVIL-SCOTSMAN Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 dude, dont install them if they causing problems, its cool just leave the good drivers in. screenie isnt that important, i just asked cuz i thought you may of still been using the dodgy drivers, but no need to roll back for a screenie. nice of you to offer, but i wouldnt if someone asked me, maybe cuz nvidia is a pain in the ass to install and setup, but i wouldnt roll back for anyone just for a screenie. cheers tho ;) EDIT: too late, while i was typin, you were screenieing :D btw, ive had similar effects with my nvidias, not as extreme, but i would say 1/4 of what you see, i have had, maybe not as dark as well, but certainly the same but not to the same extreme. mines were overland, and it was like a constant shadow always at the same postion from the aircraft. ty for posting screenies btw.

WHY does lockon never get any real support? i mean, they can break the textures and such, but what about actually making it run better?
504 Wolverine Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Strange looking bug that. Looks like one half of the screen is using Low wter effects and the other is using High water effects. [/url]
Mustang Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 well, looks like 5.11 is a keeper till the next set (6.1?) hopefully that bug won't be in that driver
ViperVJG73 Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Set "water" to medium and this bug is gone! ;) Best Regards Viper System: Intel Core i7-4790, 3,6GHz, 16GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 2TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5, TM HOTAS Warthog;(MSFFB2 for testing); TrackIR4 +Track Clip Pro; Windows 10 Pro.
bflagg Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 yes..I ran across this also... but I get overall better performance with the 5.12 as compared to the Cat 5.11. as Virper VJG73 suggests...turn down water to medium. Thanks, Brett
Mustang Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 ok looks like a version 5.13 is due out very soon (will probably still contain the water bug) http://www.elitebastards.com/page.php?pageid=13022 i've also posted this bug here http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33705231&page=90 (fourth reply from bottom) hoping to attract attention of the catalyst beta testers
