KaspeR32 Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 There is a sale on DCS: P-51 right now. If you get that with another game, it ends up being quite cheap. http://www.getloadedgo.com/ Intel i5-2500k @ 4.4GHz w/ H70 liquid cooler, ASRock PRO3-M Z68 Mobo, 32G 1600Mhz Mushkin RAM, EVGA GTX970 4GB , OCZ Agility 3 128g SSD, SanDisk 240g SSD, Win7 64-bit --Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/livingfood --
ED Team Wags Posted April 26, 2013 ED Team Posted April 26, 2013 We generally try to do a sale on Steam every 3-4 months. Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/wagmatt Twitch: wagmatt System: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3729544#post3729544
K2mil Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 We generally try to do a sale on Steam every 3-4 months. With all due respect... My journey with dcs started thanks to steam sale... But what is the point of having it on steam since we have dcs world and steam version is very outdated. So is it there just so people can get the cd key ?? Or you plan to work with steam on dcs world ? NRG-Vampire Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 i think ED's main pathways are selling modules through their own E-shop (with normal and sale price too) with this forum icon: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/shop.php?end_pos=1322&scr=shop&lang=en#26
VincentLaw Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 (edited) With all due respect... My journey with dcs started thanks to steam sale... But what is the point of having it on steam since we have dcs world and steam version is very outdated. So is it there just so people can get the cd key ?? Or you plan to work with steam on dcs world ? I personally hope that ED never "steam powers" DCS world. I get that it is convenient for some people, but I don't like having to log into their service to play every game I own. Besides, ED already has a very good copy protection and distribution model (at least from my consumer perspective). I think the idea behind DCS on steam is just for marketing purposes. The more places you can find and buy it, the more likely it is to be bought. So basically the first statement of your post answered your question.\ edit: that was off topic, so some obligatory on topic: as long as you are patient, waiting for the next sale won't be too big of a deal since they happen relatively frequently. I think the sales are mostly for the people that were not really planning on buying a module in the first place. It certainly worked on me. Also, you don't have to buy them all at once. Get one module now, and get intimate with it, and a sale will come around before you are even bored with the first one. Edited April 26, 2013 by VincentLaw [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
