FC2 - Where?

So, it's quite same time I don't fly but recently I'd like to re-start flying with a friend online.

 

I've considered FC3 but, honestly, 50$ after buying FC1 and FC2 it's like a theft.

 

My friend doesn't have any products from ED, so I was wondering if ED will still sell FC2 and what is the latest patch for it.

FC3 is better than FC2. It's certainly not buying the same thing twice, though a small setback to being linked to DCSW is that with all the new features come a few bugs of varying severity. AFM missile is probably the biggest draw for me (though development on it is extended), close second is the new ME with expanded map, and lastly it seems in the future all FC3 aircraft will recieve AFM.

 

However, you say your friend doesn't have any ED sims. If you primarily fly the Su-25T, he can fly with you for free since it comes with DCSW.

Still, I believe that $50 is too much for an upgrade and, from reading the forum here, it seems plagued by many bugs and issues.

 

I'll wait for a pricedrop and patches (and users feedback) ^_^
