foxfour
Is there another place the A10 shows what the SPI is besides the HUD? Its way at the bottom and small in the HUD. Kind of hard to see. EDIT: I want to see what my SPI is (TAD, STPT, TDC) Edited May 8, 2013 by foxfour
159th_Viper
On your TAD - the wedding cake symbol is your current SPI. Or do you mean the asterisk indicating that the HUD is the current SPI-Generator/SOI? Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder! foxfour
I want to see what my SPI is (TAD, STPT, TDC). It would be nice like how the CDU displays your waypoint Edited May 8, 2013 by foxfour
Nubbit
Are you sure you haven't got a few acronyms mixed up mate? Are you looking for SOI or SPI? Because your HUD will only show your SPI if you're pointed towards the SPI. If it is SPI you're looking for then Viper is right, it's the cake symbol on your TAD,
dave4002000
I believe he's talking about the lower left corner of the HUD that shows what sensor your current SPI is being derived from. If that is the case then, AFAIK, that's the only place to see it. It's easy enough to keep track of though. Whatever display was SOI when you did your 'TMS Up Long' on will be the sensor used for the SPI. That won't change until you manually change it yourself to a different sensor. Nubbit
Huh, didn't even know that was there. Learn something new every day I guess. I don't know if it's displayed anywhere else.
WildBillKelsoe
negative, just the lower left most corner word on HUD indicate your SOI (HUD/TGP/STPT/MAV) AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
FreeFall
I believe he's talking about the lower left corner of the HUD that shows what sensor your current SPI is being derived from. Yes. And those options are TAD, STPT, MAV, TDC, TGP and IFFCC. About IFFCC, if you haven't seen that before: Choose CCIP Gun. When HUD is SOI, TMS Aft Short sets SPI Submode (IFFCC visible in the lower left corner of HUD, and the SPI is derived from CCIP pipper). Now, when you activate TGP and Slave all to SPI (China Hat Fwd Long), you slave the TGP to your gun pipper. Of course the picture that TGP shows might be a bit jumpy, but anyway, you can see kinda magnified version of the point you are aiming at.
foxfour
thanks for the replies. this is mainly for my father whose eye sight isnt that great these days. Its pretty hard for him to quickly see it even with zooming in. I can see it fine. would love to have this on one of the MFCDs.
FreeFall
I think one of the default Snap Views shows full screen HUD. Cannot remember which one (I'm not at my sim computer now), but try keyboard Numpad combination [Zero] + [5], or [Zero] + [8], and go thru all other Numpad number keys as well. One of them should show you BIG HUD. EDIT: It's Numpad 5. Found a youtube video (which BTW shows the toggled mode of Snap Views): EDIT2: Tried HUD Snap View with my current setup, and somehow I could not see all HUD information, especially that very lower left hand corner you were interested in was not visible at all . Instead, with zooming in I could magnify the HUD considerably. Edited May 10, 2013 by FreeFall
