I'm upgrading from a E8400 @ 3.6 GHZ with 4GB of ram and 560 GTX to maybe this CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113280 This motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128577 And this ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314 Would anyone say this would be good enough to run DCS World maxed out with little to no lag? You will want the biggest Intel CPU you can afford since AMD is currently lacking performance and DCS is incredibly CPU heavy. But the motherboard is quite good since it even has an Overclock feature plus you can get into bios within windows. Anyways I am more an intel fanboy and they qork quite well and for good prive. indeed i7 is overrated and useless for games as almost no game uses hyperthreading. Too reduce lag one could also look into an SSD so the data feed into the beast isnt slowed down by an ancient HDD Plus the I5+motherboard is around 300-400 euro and quite cheap Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
