I'm sorry I guess I just don't understand? My available keystrokes per the control settings are

 

Kneeboard Next

Kneeboard ON/OFF

Kneeboard Previous Page

Kneeboard current position mark point

Kneeboard glance view

 

I don't have a "show/hide" button option.

 

Next/Previous do what they say on the tin, ON/OFF disables or enables seeing the tablet on my knee, current position mark point does I don't know, create a markpoint? It doesn't affect the tablet though.

 

Which is the show/hide key/button press that I should be using to momentary view?

Expect no support for DCS 1.2.7 from me as long it's in the beta status.

1. which exactly version of my mod you are running on which version of DCS ?

2. In which plane/module ? (fangav, - you don't need to answer this - I know right now that you are using the Mi-8 )

3. and in which exact configuration ? (than more info = than better )

Sorry Peter i was having a bad day trying to move the current position of the Kneeboard in 1.2.7 not your mod at all.

And to make things worse i could not get back to your mod seems i must've changed so many numbers that it all just got messed up.

So i will go back to the beginning and start over.

Newbie question. Are all the Common Charts used for the FC3 F15C? Also from the video it shows a few maps at the beginning that are not in the Common Charts folder. Does the kneeboard mod grab the maps from the game itself?

Hey I just installed the MOD on 1.2.6 and I get the kneeboard in the A-10C but I can't move the pages ( by pressing [ or ] )for some reason. Haven't tried it on the other modules yet

The kneeboard for all helicopters and the A-10C runs fine.

Hey...@ least you got it to work, I'm removed the files and tried to install again for FC3 with JSGME an still not working in 1.2.7 AND, I've double checked my folder structure. Worked perfect in 1.2.6 :(

I have just installed manually.

 

Copying the files from the mod folders inside DCS installation. And it works for every plane and helicopter. But On planes except A-10C, shakes a lot in cockpit and i don´t know why.

 

It doesn´t matter if i´m using Config/View files edited or not for custom views. Shaking persists.

yah, I looked @ your vid...that shake is crazy! it's like there's a conflict with the files.

ok, sweet. did a repair and Manual install and its good to go. Mine's stable, but I have it on the left-side of my cockpit now...instead of on the right, but it's working & there is no flickering on my end.

Hey Mirmidon - I see what you are talking about now...I'm now also getting the kneeboard "shake/stutter" in FC3 & A10C...really annoying. I have not tried install with any other module. dang!

Another problem.

 

This mod causes a crash when inside UH-1H i´m changing position from pilot to copilot.

 

Clean install, no mods, no edited files. Only 1.2.7 last version and Kneeboard mod installed. Nothing else.

 

It crash every time i change position from pilot to copilot.

 

Erasing the mod from DCS folder structure makes all runs fine, no crashes at changing position.

Same thing. Shaking in all FC3 airplanes + Su25T.

I'm afraid this "mod" it's not compatible with 1.2.7 by the moment.

Please make sure you follow PeterP's instructions to the letter cause if you don't he will hunt you down.

This is working i have it installed in jsgme format with lots of other mods running to with no conflicts at all.

I should mention that i only fly the Huey.

During the beta i failed to follow Peters instructions and missed 1 thing which made it not work.

But i can confirm it works fantastically in the Huey.

I've been using this mod for quite some time and I had a CTD in the Huey when I switched between stations.

 

I'm pretty sure I've been doing it right this whole time, but I'll double check. I'm curious, though, did you successfully switch stations in the Huey? Also, what was the one step you missed previously?

I´m talking not only for the Huey, in this heli the problem is an instant crash when changing position from pilot to copilot but the kneeboard works.

 

FOR FC3 airplanes the Kneeboard works but shakes inside cockpit so it´s no usable.

 

For A-10C, Ka-50 and Mi-8 works as intended.

 

For Su-25, Su-27, Su-33 and Mig-29 shakes inside cockpit.

 

For Uh-1h it crashes the simuator when changing positions from pilot to copilot.

 

And yes i´ve installed the mod to the letter not only for 1.2.7 but also for previous versions and before worked perfect.

Thats very strange guys cause i can switch sides and it doesn't crash the game.

 

Can i just ask did you guys do a clean install of the new update by this i mean remove all traces of DCS even from saved games and then do a complete clean install of the game and all mods cause this is what i did.

 

I know it can be long winded doing a clean install, if you haven't that could be why other than that i am not sure.

 

And just to add a clean install improved my frame rates massively for example i use to sit on the runway in free flight and fps would sit at around 20fps but now i am hitting 45 - 55fps on the deck and once airborne i am at 70 - 90fps and this is with 3 screens.

Of course thats not related to your issue but if you haven't done a clean install it might be worth a try.
