Mission editing question about escort

How do you get get Fighters to escort planes in the ME?

You could set up a second flight in the Airgroup Planning window, i.e. FLIGHT 2 OF 2 could be a couple of F-16s escorting a pair of A-10s. They would take-off from the same airfield and fly the same route.

 

Alternatively, create a completely separate Airgroup (they could even depart from a different base) and plan their route so that that they will fly 20 miles ahead (and higher) than you. This method works best.
