GC1993
Hello, I am fairly new to DCS A10C (bought it on the summer sale, had FC3 up until now). I'm fine with startup and navigation and GBUs, Mavs etc BUT I just can't get the radio to work when I start on the ramp. For example, on one mission I have it so I start on the ramp at Kutaisi. Once battery power and APU power is all good, I set the main VHF AM radio to "TR", ensure it's set to "AM" mode, set it to Kutaisi's frequency (134 MHz) and I press mic switch forward to bring up the comms menu. But the options are blacked out and so when I contact the tower, I get no response. What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated, thanks. GC1993
Hi GC1993, Welcome to the Forums. I have a radio tutorial in my signature line if you want to check it out and see if your procedures are correct. Hi Warrior Actually I've already been on your radio PDF and I've followed all the procedures, it must be something else I'm doing.
WarriorX
Are you on battery power or APU GEN power? Did you hit the LOAD button after setting the dials to 134.00? GC1993
Forgot to reply to you both - apologies. Fixed my problem merely minutes after posting this thread - I just wasn't pressing "LOAD". Thanks for your help :)
