Using smoke against laser guided munitions

Why aren't tanks and other armored vehicles in DCSW using smoke in order to spoof laser guided/riding weapons? I thought modern tanks are equipped with laser illumination warning systems... Or why don't they start moving in order to break the lock of a launched weapon once they get the warning? If that is what tanks and other armored vehicles do IRL, that would make the game more challenging - don't you think?

I think defenses for tanks is on a number of wishlists, and I agree, specially now that you have player controlled vehicles that the smoke defenses at least would be nice to have. I dont know enough about modern tanks to know about laser illumination warning, but it makes sense that they would, the AI does seem ok with sitting and waiting for the weapon to hit them :)
