Heya guys, I got my Hotas warthog joystick today and was wondering what to do for the rudder?

I have no foot pedals as of yet and was wondering if anyone has an idea to overcome the use of the keys?

Well, the default keys are Z and X I think...

You can use the Options -> Controls in DCS to make a Modifier Key for the Warthog. I use the stick's Paddle Switch. Once you set up the modifier, and give it a name like 'Paddle Sw', then you can combine that with other Warthog controls, like maybe the Coolie Hat - use the Coolie Hat Left and Right for Rudder Inputs - add those to the Keyboard commands.

BTW, I do not use TARGET with the Warthog - just the DCS Options.

You could map the rudder to the slider axis on the throttle until you decide on a pedal set up. +1 on the Saitek Combat Pro Pedals.

+1 on the Saitek Combat Pros. Luckily I found mine bundled with a TM Warthog (all used) so I saved a couple hundred bucks on it all.

In the end, you can probably get away without pedals for the A-10C but it won't be as fun. I rarely use rudders once in the sky. However, I'd be unable to fly the UH-1 at all without them so the pedals help increase your options for DCS.
