I've experienced very similar issues. My game freezes during loading, after about 1 minute, I click the screen and the fades like it's about to crash, but then loads.

I had that with my old rig, but it stopped with my new one, I think its just performance related

No idea what's going on, but this version of the game is VERY unstable.

And don't you dare commanding ground units around in multiplayer. instand CTD.

I know its behaving like a beta or alpha.

I just crashed again mid-flight

What does MSVCR100.dll Do with the game?

this experience does seem to be widespread. we've had our server topple as well as client crashes.

bit of a shame

The client crashes are a new development for me. But server crashes have been happening for a while. My friend across town has the same issues. I only play on 3 servers really 51st, 159th, and 104th. I work 10 hour days an have a toddler web in home so I don't have the time to continually start up, take off, get to target area and I'd I'm lucky kill 2 targets before a crash.

I know these appcrash reports dont really explain the problem but maybe it can help a dev or someone who knows something to narrow down the problem

I'm having same issue, the game is much more unstable now.

Mostly it's the dcs.exe that's the fault module path, but I've also gotten edTerrain.dll, ZweiBlau.dll, MSVCR100.dll, wRadio.dll, ntdll.dll and lua.dll for the last 8 days.

And as Falcon mentions, don't dare command ground units around, I've had continous crashes trying to do that (some units can be commandeered, but some just crashes the game).

Comparing LUA code from 1.2.4 to 1.2.5 it seems like they are doing quite alot rewriting. Cleaning up code like changing use of strings to id numbers for compar's which i guess runs faster. Am not surprized if they sneak in EDGE code here and there to test. I am really imterested in the next changlog comming up. It better be detailed about exactly what have been fixed.

PPL CAN'T USE ALOT OF TIME MAKING MISSIONS TO FIND THAT THERE IS NO POINT IF THE FEATURES DONT WORK! ESPECIALLY IF THE DESIGN HAVE TO BE TOTALLY REDONE.

My opinion on the near future is that they have to fix 3 major things so we can have a functional sim while the 1.2.6 beta is going on and that is:

1. Triggers (and with details of what NOT to use!)

2. Basic ATC

3. Basic Logbook functionality (like promotions/medals)

Looking at the above it looks like a difficult task to get done in time, but if they do i will be impressed again.

Of course all of above is pointless if ppl get lots of CTD's....

Sorry buddy but unfortunately these do not help.

I totally share in your frustration 100%. I have been away from flying for a little while but now that I'm back I'm dealing with the same server and client issues as you.

I'm afraid it's one of these things you need to be patient with, fixing stability issues is not straight forward, sometimes the hardest part is finding exactly what 'causes' the issue then it's a lot of work to get it fixed.....

Hang in there man.... I know it sucks after a long day and all you want to do is get some good sorties in.... but hang in there.... we are getting there... slowly.

The devs are hard at work re-writing a lot of code and doing lots of other wizardry to make the game stable on MP but as I'm sure you can appreciate it's not something that can happen over night.

There is a crash linked to CA unit control, as well as memory leak issues. I know its frustrating, but the DCS World is always in motion, there are going to be growing pains. Make sure you include actual .CRASH files and system specs where needed.

I realized everyones working hard and I know were going through a big transistion with steam. And I'm not expecting things to happen overnight. I really just needed to vent some. It was the worst day so far. Normally just 1 or 2 times a day and It was my day off and I didn't have the kid so it was my rare chance to get some uninterrupted gameplay in and ended up not being able to play much. I have noticed the higher the player count the more likely and frequent the issues. And I never see anything about problems like this because its always overlooked in these sub threads.

I really just want to help to expedite the fixes, i.e posting crash logs.

What OS are you running, what are you doing when these crashes occur? Have you confirmed that all your hardware is up to date driver wise? Can you make sure you dont have anything running in the back ground that might conflict? If you are unsure, try shutting down anything you dont need running. Is your resolution in sim set to the same as your desktop?

If we can eliminate some of these, maybe we can narrow it down to some of the issues we are seeing in DCS right now.

win 7 64bit, all the latest windows updates.

all drivers up to date, was using the latest beta of ati cataylst but downgraded to stock release to see if that would fix the problem before my first post.

game and desktop resolution 1680x1050

nothing running that could conflict to my knowlege. I dont install trash software that come with other products like my hp printer. I usually run gamebooster which shuts down all non essential programs and services during gameplay and restarts them on game exit, But I tried with and without that day.

in game, most of the crashes were 10-15km after take off, other just level flight enroute to TA, or just after killing a target

Is it always the same module, or mission, or does it seem pretty random? My reasons for the questions is to see if we can either troubleshoot it away, or see if I can reproduce it myself.

i understand the questioning.

I've noticed crashes after a unit is destroyed that initiates some kind of script.

Crashing seems random, I know for sure that I've crashed in A-10c, Ka50 and Su25t I cant recall crashing when using FC3 but im sure it has. I have DCS Huey also. I don't get crashes in Single Player its Multi Player Only

(crashes a lot less frequent with player count below 20 online)
