GC1993 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Hi all, After recently pretty much bankrupting myself with the purchase of a TM Warthog (arriving Thursday, so excited ), I could not afford the combat Saitek pedals, and pretty much everywhere seemed out of stock of the ordinary pro flight ones. As a result I have just bought the cessna ones online, which sort of makes this thread useless as it's too late to change my mind but anyway. Can anyone give a reason why I shouldn't have bought the Cessna ones? Has anyone had problems with drivers or a physical issue even? I mainly play DCS: A10C, and don't even use the rudder in-flight that much due to the SAS system cleverly taking care of it for you. The only times I use the rudder in flight are for cross-wind correction, tight valley flying turns, and when I'm in a dive for a gun-run on a target to help my PAC stabilise. So really, the rudder isn't that important to me - am just in NEED of one because the TM Warthog has no twist rudder, hence I've gone for the cheapest option. Any thoughts/opinions/insults welcome :smilewink: Cheers
Sarge55 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I've not used the Cessna pedals so can't comment on quality but I agree you don't need to get super pedals. They are also very useful for NWS :) Do they have the ability for toe brakes because that can be handy in some other sims that rely of differential braking? You will love the TM Warthog.... Yeah obv I know i need them for ground control, was just pointing out I don't use the rudder hardly at all in the air - so I only need a basic set of pedals. They have individual toe brakes yes. So I've been told, can't wait for that cold metal construction!

nickmow Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I've got Saitek pedals, they have been just fine, not the Cessna ones or the combats ones but Saitek ones never the less. No need for soft ware just plug n play. Make sure you get the axis for the toe brakes the right way round. Im sure you will enjoy them....report please :-), I'm British and I approve of myself !
