jazjar
I upgraded my HD6770 to a GTX 770 ( + i72600@3.5ghz ) two days ago, and I can tell you that before, I had troubles going above 60 FPS. Now my problem is trying to get it below 70 :). In short, GPU upgrades are definitely worth it. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SkateZilla
well, I hope you see a difference A HD6770 is a Entry Level GPU using a 2 Generations Old Architecture. Where as a GTX770 is a high End Gaming GPU using a Revamped Architecture Going by the Heiracrchy chart, GTX 770 is Tier 4, HD6770 is Tier 11 Going from Any Entry Level GPU to a High End GPU is like moving from a 2 Stroke Scooter to a V8 Camaro. xracer
God job! Now you can enjoy DCSW the way was meant to be! Now if someone can post an upgrade like yours just still staying with a AMD 8350. Would have been great to see how much the CPU does for DCSW. But a tip do OC that 2600K. It's alot more in it than 3.5 Ghz. EDIT: Ops its just a 2600 maybe? If so i have on my other PC a 2600 which i raised the BLCLOCK to 102.7 Mhz and gives me astable 4 Ghz. Try it! KaspeR32
I run top teir GPus with FX 8350s Interesting choice with the FX chips. Tom's Hardware never recommends AMD FX chips for gaming. jazjar
Yes it is just a 2600 unfortunately, not the K version :(. But it still runs great. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
xracer
I run top teir GPus with FX 8350s Yes, i know by your sig, but i was thinking about a GTX card to see if there is any much difference in DCSW between AMD and Intel when the GC is almost top of the line. Got to be sure that there is no bottleneck at the GPU side at all. CypherGrunyev
@Jazjar, Well, An i7 is an i7 any way you look at. Overclocked or not, your 2600 is still powerful as hell. My old Desktop, about... 2008'ish I think? Can still chug along with a i7-920 just as well as my new Desktop can. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/CPU/31 Man I could really use a navigator right about now. i7-3770K @ Stock MSI GD-65 Z77 Mobo G.Skill Ripjaws Z [16GB] @ 2133 Mhz AMD Radeon HD 7950 [sapphire Tech] @ 1150/1600 Mhz OCZ Vector 256GB [C:/] Seagate Barracuda LP 2TB @ 5900RPM [D:/] Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB @ 7200 [E:/] Western Digital Blue 1TB @ 7200 [H:/] Corsair AX850 PSU Corsair 650D Case [so Sexy <3]

XtraChrisP
Yes, Intel's higher IPC / Single Core Performance helps DCS. What about when EDGE is released? Won't that allow for multithreading (one for graphics, one for physics)? That's my understanding anyway. Could be wrong.

That's my understanding anyway. Could be wrong. I don't recall any dev stating that EDGE would include multi-threading. Keep in mind, also, that EDGE will not be in use if you are running the current map.
