I wasnt entirely sure where to post this, hope this subforum is ok.

I have a question regarding copyright: Am I allowed to go to a local copy store, hand them the digital pdf of the manuals of the modules that I have payed for and ask them to print them out in i.e. bookform for my private use? I believe they will require some proof that they dont infringe on any copyright agreements.

That might depend on your local copyright laws, but for what it's worth, here on the forums already several people had their docs printed (i.e. via lulu.com, afair)...

Ok great, I suppose that means ED doesn't mind if I print them for personal use. I'll wait for confirmation from an ED rep anyway.

Ok then I guess I'll have to check with the store, if they need any proof or confirmation from ED.

Thanks guys!

The manuals for A-10C, Black Shark 2 and P-51 are all available on Lulu, so...

EDIT: I have had manuals printed at Staples and FedEx/Kinkos and nobody ever asked any questions.

In the EU you are free to print out and rework a manual for personal use as much you like.

Imagine this:

My 91 year old grandma is buying a DCS module ...

She has a single screen set-up ...

She wants to have the manual on her knees wile using the software...

So: She prints it out - and she won't ask someone beforehand, because she simply uses the manual as it is intended.

Udat, - you already paid for the manual...

- and you will pay to make it usable for yourself...

Don't wait for a answer from official site...

Just print it out - your copy shop can't have any concerns about it.

It's 100% legal .

Don't get 'paranoid' about copy-protection.

You are just using a *.pdf as it was intendewd - and the first purpose of a PDF is to make it easily printable in a form you want.

Here in Sweden I know for a fact that you can print it for personal use. I see your country is Norway wich is not EU member, but I'm pretty sure the regulations are roughly the same.
