Also it would be grate if someone can post the lua file for the description of the 2 templates because i use the lua of other skins for the skins i made so far for the other FC3 planes..

I saw them but i don't think they will do the job because they are for the earlier versions of FC.

Let's hope E.D will release them soon.

If anyone else has any other link it would be grate..

MiG-29S and SU-33 have old Lock On models, just converted from .cmd to .edm.

I believe you put them in the Temp Texture folder and they overwrite a slot.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

The thing is that at the liveries of the plane if you open let's say the first file the lua says only the name of the skin and which number it takes.

I am searching to find the zip files not only for this plane and for others(for example tornado,harrier...) but i can't find anything..Any ideas?

for the Cy-33 and Migs you need to overwrite a slot.

This is the lua for the SU-33 first skin:

livery = {

}

name = "279th kiap 1st squad navy"

id = 0

countries = {

"RUS",

}

how you overwrite that?

For the Migs and the Cy-33 you need to keep the original file name

ie MIG-29C-PAINT-def-l3 & MIG-29C-PAINT-def-r3

and put them in the TempTextures folder. This will over write the slot.

This is the only way for the older planes until ED updates them.

For the some that is the only way but for others* the newer way work.

*DCS and the new FCDCS modules and the newer models only. Plus others like the Tornado.

The older models like the Cy-33 and Mig 29 does not use the new method of putting the BMP/DDS files and a LUA file in the folder. Which is unfortunate.

You have to put the files with the original file name in the TempTextures folder.

please post a picture

at the temptextures there are no such entries

Hi guys,

Am looking at creating my own skin for a MiG29S & Su25T...went to that german site...but it only hosts final bmp files not editable source files like .psd like the ones you get from the DCS site for Su27. Please can anybody point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

I'm away for the weekend and can't get to the Su-25T files. Maybe someone else will give you them or the link.
