When spawning in my f-15 it does not seem to be totally on the ground it is like half a foot of it. Also I am not getting any wheel smoke on landing.

As you can see with the front wheel where it should be in the attachment.

I am not having the same floating problem with the su-33 but I am getting no wheel smoke like with the f-15 on landing.

Anyone else having these problems?

the gear looks like it's on the ground or only a hair off,

The problem is the shadow is mis-leading. (is it missing the Shadow for the gear?)

The Shadow is shifted a bit to the left, which makes a small gear lift look like a big one.

but it's still a hair in the air.

Move the camera and it looks fine..

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

yes I do move camera round and it is off the ground unlike with all of the other aircraft. I used every camera angle in the book and it is in the air by a wheels high. new image shows clearly what I am saying

Make sure your Visibility Range isn't set to Low. That'll cause what you describe.

Just wondering...having just spent 3000 on a new computer and purchasing most of the modules and then decided to wait until 1.2.5 to avoid any problems with installation and finding there seem to be number of features that remained problematic with that build....I again waited for 1.2.6...should I finally install everything and be assured that everything will load and connect and run without crashing? I realize there may still be a few small bugs but nothing major. I do not want to install everything and have these programs not work together. And then have to reinstall and fight with everything.

Are all these programs still considered beta? It appears that the release modules are always followed by a sucession of repairs...some very major.

Having updates to correct bugs is a good thing but I would hope that in the future more time would be spent on releasing modules without the major bugs..... and the updates would just improve the module....not necessarily just repair current bugs that were not fixed in the initial release due to time constrants of lack of testors. I know in this community it is assumed that folks will get the software and then help reporting bugs to the development team or the testors. Sometimes it seems like the response to the bugs caught by the community is a process that needs improvement. Perhaps this would help improve and shorten the lengthy development time. Just a thought.

I am concerned about the modules from the other developers keeping pace with the sucession of updates and repairs. I am also concerned about the automatic updates.....as many have pointed out that the updates cause in some cases more problems. Can I turn off the automatic update?

I hope that future releases, not updates, are pretty much major bug free. I read a past post that ED is experiencing problems with not enough testers to provide the necessary time to catch major bugs. How many programmers does ED have working on DCS and how many testers? Just curious.

I am looking forward to the WW2 components and hope they will not be trial beta programs.

I have FC2 and earlier DCS modules installed on another machine that keeps me occupied but since I was raised in Nevada I really look forward to this map and other areas to fly in...the current area is getting a little long in the tooth.

Good Point, thx...

I ve currently set the Visibility range to "low" to gain more FPS performance...

Is there a way to have nice plane wheels + low vis range? :D

why does the Vis Range cause bad objekt detail for NEAR objects in F2 view, such as plane tyres? I ve seen bad / rectangular tyres on F15 and Mig29 btw.
