ENO Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 (edited) Care to add any substance to that... at all? Logs? System Specs? Mods? We're not going to get anywhere (as enthusiasts) if people just keep coming in here to vent. VapoR Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 I've had some serious crash/locking up issues since 1.26 as well. It's so crazy because I never really had issues like this in versions of ED's software since early Lock-on days. What I'm getting is a not responding error. Also gotten total freezes that require going into the task manager and killing DCS there. I thought my install might have just gotten too messed up so I reinstalled to completely so now I'm completely clean. This helped a good bit but I eventually got a crash. This has happened in both SP and MP. I've never sent in a crashlog before. Is it the DCS.log file under users/saved games/DCS? I tried attaching it but the forum says it's an invalid file.
SkateZilla Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 ZIP/RAR it, DXDiag info and System specs as well (hardware and OS Version). Simply Saying "it's crashing now, but didnt before" type things doesnt help locate the problem, as nearly every PC is unique. 159th_Falcon Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Files from the saved games/dcs/logs folder that can be usefull are; DCS.log DCS-datestamp-timesamp.CRASH any other files in that folders whit the same date/time stamp as above files. (could be a couple minutes off, but not to much) Other things that can help are info like; Mission you were playing, attach if possible Aircraft you were flying What you were doing at moment of crash Was anything specific happening in the mission that you know of. for example, a unit exploding a group being triggered/activated/deactivated etc also have a look at this thread; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=88164 Not everything will always be useful, but gives an idea on what could be.
