[OPEN] DCS Not starting with Xbox 360 Controller connected

I have been trying very unsuccessfully to get DCS World to work with my Microsoft Xbox 360 Wired Controller. If connected I get the dreaded DCS Stopped Working error. Crash log as below.

Have tried re-installing DirectX, MS Visual Redistrib libraries, Video Card Drivers. Setting all the compatibility options on the DCS.EXE and Launcher.EXE but without any success.

Checking resolution matches, setting all gfx options to low.

 

Crash happens if I just run the DCS.EXE on it's own.

 

Worried this might mean when I get a Thrustmaster Hotas might have the same problem.

 

This DCS World in steam and this happened with 1.2.5 and 1.2.6

Just a controller issue not going to be one with the Thrustmaster Hotas.
