Hello ;)

I have a little problem and I don't know if it's from my part but I can't use my radio :helpsmilie:

I use my radio as my other modules (A-10C, KA-50, P-51D and Huey) but with my Mi-8 impossible to contact the ATC or ground crew for rearm...

Of course I've switch ON my radio and enter 134.00 because my home base he's Kutaisi but silence on the air...

When I use the fire trigger of my hotas I can display the radio's menu but impossible to communicate :no_sad:

Please anybody can help me to use with succefull my radio ? :helpsmilie:

A great thanks in advance for you help, Skull. :joystick:

Dear ObvilionLost,

I first I would like to thank you for your explanation, if I well understand I must placed the switches like your screenshot ?

#1: The two switches must be in up position.

#2: This switch must be in up position.

#3: This switch must be in down position.

#4: I must enter my frequency "134.00".

#5: This switch must be in down position.

And now I can contact the ATC or ground crew ?

Now it's late and I must be sleeping but in few hours when I wake up I test your explanation and I follow your screenshot.

Once again a great thank for all and best regards. Skull

I've followed your method but my radio don't work, I ask to myself if it's not a problem with the parking because sometime I can speak with the ATC and sometime I cannot...

Just a little question, you have wrote these words: Throat microphone must be turned OFF.

Please can you explain to me why this switch must be OFF ?

It's not easy to understand...

Here one screenshot of my checklist: http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3787/9693366470_89cd8b37a9_o.jpg

On this Beta video, the Throat microphone is ON, wrong operation ??

Once again I would like to thank you, have a good day. Skull

AIE, it's a big problem because we cannot talk with the ATC and refuel and rearm.

I hope that BST working on this problem because it's a real problem, In the real life flight without ATC and communication it's impossible and very dangerous.

Thanks Skull for this question and thanks OblivionLost for your answer !

I don't know for the ATC skull, but you can speak to the ground crew for rearming by opening your left window (Left CTRL+C).

And there is a bug during it, your fuel will be set to 0, if you try to change it, nothing will happen.

So just rearm, and dont touch the fuel. Even with the full to 0 you can fly around half an hour.

How about Using the FM radio. Say to put in 31.75 and home in on it?

I am sooo lost with the radios.

Ask Jesus for Forgiveness before you takeoff :pilotfly:!

So the throat mic is the cause of radio switching sometime during start up sequence from radio to interphone?

I usually can talk with the tower to start my engines but after all started up when I press the same radio button now it says "interphone" instead of "radio 836".

I'll check it when I return home... if it is so I solved one mystery :D

P.S. Even so... it looks like a bug... switching from radio to interphone should be made by the special switch from the ceiling. No 3 from the picture above.

Hello,

Yesterday I've discovered one thing, during my check-list I've enter 134.00 (frequency of Kutaisi) after I've pressed on the trigger of me stick or the key * and I've can read when me radio's window is appeared "Microphone".

I've try to contact the ATC but nothing... So I've takeoff and during my flight I've pressed once again the trigger of my stick or the key * and here I've could read R-863 and now I can talk with my ATC.

So there's one thing that I can't understand, why I'm on the ground my radio is on "Microphone" and when I'm on the air I can read R-863 and I can talk with my ATC, yet I do not touch any switches during these two phases of flight...

If somebody have understood the problem can you explain to me ?

PS: Lib, I cannot opening your left window (Left CTRL+C), I meet a bug ?

PS: In few minutes I go published two scrennshots of these two windows (on the ground and on the air)...

Once again a great thanks in advance for all, Skull.

your " * " key what activates? easy radio or radio? default for english keyboards are " \ " and "RAlt+\"

I think easy radio works only on ground and maybe in air it switches automatically to interphone.

Hello dear friends,

I think that I found my problem with the radio of the Mi-8...

So, in first I raise all the circuits breakers, after I switch the two batteries and the two inverters.

So after I use the switch of the radio, if I let this switch "up" when à press " * " I have "Microphone", if I "down" this switch here I have "R-863...

Of course I've enter my frequency for Kutaisi: 134.00.

So for the moment I can tell that everything work fine, in few minutes I join two screenshots...

Bye, Skull
