JayPee
DCS Enhanced Terrain Low'N'Slow Released From what I know... Enhanced terrain was Toby's first product. In time he made a new (better) product called Enhanced terrain low'n'slow. At first this might have been a seperate product but by now it is the replacement of Enhanced terrain as it includes all of it 'plus more'. To answer your question: if you want to most up to date product, install Enhanced terrain low'n'slow. PS: While you're at it you might install Toby's airfield textures as well. Better looks, no FPS hit. Gloom Demon
Does this mod affect FPS in any detrimental way? I am looking forward to eliminating ground shimmering in the Game - occasionally I get whole rivers shimmering... JayPee
It does not impact FPS, neither do Toby's airfield textures. i7 4790K: 4.8GHz, 1.328V (manual) MSI GTX 970: 1,504MHz core, 1.250V, 8GHz memory
Bj_o_rn
Well I suppose it could cause issues if your graphics card doesn't have high enough memory? Surely these textures take up more memory than the blurry default ones. In reality the memory required is rather low though I think so shouldn't be an issue. JayPee
Do the villages and trees mod affect FPS? I know Tobys terrain doesnt.. Thanks i7 4790K: 4.8GHz, 1.328V (manual) MSI GTX 970: 1,504MHz core, 1.250V, 8GHz memory
Highwayman-Ed
Not that anybody has reported, they're just texture replacements and if your system is not effected by the increased texture sizes of Toby23's terrain, then the same should be true for theses textures. Dr.Cure
@toby23 Excuse me, mate. I'm currently using the steam version of DCS and I can't seem to find the installation path for the mod. the directory for the "\Terrain\vfstextures" folder is not there in my PC. The only "Textures" folder for the mod is directly in the "Bazar" folder, no "Terrain" folder or whatsoever. Do I need to create new folder? or will putting the mod directly in the "Textures" folder will do? Thank you for your attention Phantom Phorever
