lorenzoj
I inadvertently set my main characters logbook to "Invulnerable - NO". Now I can no longer select him cause he's dead many times over. Where and how can I go to re-set this back. There must be an editable file somewhere I hope ? ? ? Metal Hawk
It's in your User\Saved Games\DCS folder surprisingly named: "logbook.lua" :). But before you do anything make sure to make a backup copy because if you mess it up even the game might not start. Also don't use windows notepad. Use notepad++ or some other clean editor. As for what to change in there... I don't know.

As for what to change in there... I don't know. It was in one of the only folders I must have not looked in the first time....... "Mission Editor" Copied it to the desktop and opened with my HTML editor. There was a line at the very top "invulnerable=.." which I changed to True. Then there was a line near the bottom of that pilot's section, "Death=.." which I had to change to False. I can now select that pilot again and everything looks good to go Thanks for the push in the right direction

roadrabbit
Nice to know you can resurrect pilots ;) Yeah, but who are you fooling? Only yourself. You know you 'died' and always will have that at the back of your mind. Why not start again with a new avatar and see how far you can get? This way you will have a measure of whether you are actually improving or not. A good job the 'enemy' can't resurrect any of their pilots :music_whistling: Alpine Systems PC with Intel i7-2600K @ 3.40/3.70 GHz. NVidia GTX590 Graphics. 24 Gb RAM (24 Gb usable!). 64 bit. lorenzoj
The point was that for that pilot avatar I had started out as "invulnerable" for the logbook and unintentionally changed it to "vulnerable". At the time of the error I had already "died" 139 times. My purpose for this avatar is to keep a running total of all aircraft flight times. For a campaign I would/could use a "vulnerable" avatar. Either way, in individual SP or MP missions you still "die" and "game over man" unless you want to jump to another aircraft And you can still monitor statistics like number of landings vs deaths for each aircraft Edited September 29, 2013 by lorenzoj
