VRS Shaking for Ka-50 Cockpit (V1.2.6)?

Hi... Sorry if already mentioned before... But I'm glad to see tiny improvements for Ka-50.

A few days before I entered the VRS and it was awesome to watch how cockpit was shaking very hard. Really thanks ED! I think that's why I love to enter VRS since that day. :D

This feature has come with v1.2.6, or we do already have it since v1.2.5?

Thanks.

Hello guys,

I've read your posts and of course I've tested with my KA-50 but I can't enter in the VRS.

No vibrations, no VRS and I use the 1.2.6 version of DCS, is it normal ?

With my Mi-8 when I slow down or during one hover I can feel the VRS but not with the KA-50n is it normal ?

I would like to thank you in advance for your feedback and help, best regards. Skull

You just need to descend at a high(er) rate when in hover. :o)

lol, I never saw someone so happy about getting into VRS ;P

Oh, and that would be ED who is to praise for this effect - the Blackshark is their work. :o)

And yes ... I, too, like that effect as such very much but also the fact that the Ka-50 is getting some love (again) as well! Thank you, ED!

Hello Flagrum,

Yes you have right, in the reality it's not a happy moment because this phenomen is very dangerous and the pilots don't like this VRS but for us in the simulation each time the devs created with successful this kind of phenomen it's a great moment.

The brand of the quality, when I was with FSX there was not the damage visualization and it's was bad.

But with the DCS we have the damage visualization and it's a good thing but just for us "in simulation", in the real life it's not a good thing because you play with your life.

For me the brand of one good simulator it's when he can recreat all the phenomen of the real life, it's not wonderful in the real life but for us in simulation it's perfect...

So it's just my vision of the flight simulation, I found this thread very passionate...

Bye and best regards, Skull.

Ka-50 and this new effect are made by Eagle Dynamics, not Belsimtek, buddy.

I'm the one who being so happy too. :D I used to fight with controls and try to get rid of the VRS when entered. But since that day I'm not doing anything, and dying happily. :megalol:

{Whispering} In fact there's no VRS something like that. I just made it up, and people pretended as they knew. :D

Joking of course.

By the way; I see more but very little improvements on Ka-50

I got hit. These damage views were just a texture. Now, they're 3D. :cheer3nc:

Per the aforementioned Wiki on VRS, it states that coaxial (tandem rotor) craft need to use lateral and and rotational (rudder) evasion/preemption methods for VRS, due to the differences in the way the collective acts on each rotor disc.

Is this modeled at all?

Tandem rotor is the Chinook style, not the Ka-50 style.

Skull leader, the shaking you are talking about when slowing down in the MI-8 and UH-1h is from transverse flow not VRS, unless you are descending near vertically then it is VRS. We often ride those shakes in when flying an approach to helps us gauge a nice slow approach.
