Gloom Demon
Is there any way the game signals to the player, that the mission is accomplished? I mean I can fly a mission, hit the goals, land, taxi to the parking area, turn the engines off and.... nothing. Should there be some popup window stating that I have won or something? sobek
Did you ever get a mission accomplished popup IRL? ;) There are ways to achieve what you want but it depends whether the mission designer wants to incorporate it. Most of the time they trigger radio messages saying that the ground forces you supported are no longer in contact with enemy forces, etc. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! BigMotor
Anyone remember mission completion in "F19 Stealth Fighter" (1980's)? All goals met- Game showed a video of you and all your wingmen partying in the O club. Some goals met- Just a few fellows gathered in the O club. Mission failure- Only you at the bar crying in your beer. Given a choice though, I agree 100% with Frostie!

Grimes
On the debrief screen there should be a mission score number ranged 0 to 100. Anything above a 50 is a victory. 50 exactly is a draw,, and 0-49 is a failure. Its probably not as clear as this one though: The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. WildBillKelsoe
in the old blackshark, there was a chime played when you 'did' the objective. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow. BRooDJeRo
in the old blackshark, there was a chime played when you 'did' the objective. It only needs a trigger tied to a sound or a some text when certain objectives are met. The reason it's not there for allot of missions is because the mission creator didn't implement an existing/new sound and/or text while the engine is more than capable in doing so. So yes, wake up mission designers!! :music_whistling: There's so much more possible on this regard already, but not being utilized. The same goes for dynamic objective stage notification or signaling on where to park after landing or random 'good kill' sounds that already exist in the sound files. Yes, it needs allot more triggering and it takes time to implement. I guess that's the bottleneck. Edited October 7, 2013 by BRooDJeRo
