Next after the P47 will be the mosquito

Next after the Mosquito will be the Me-262

Agree, even when ED made decision for p-38 it will take years for module.

Take a look at p-47 how much time it already took and how much time it will still take to make it full module

On the other hand, the F-16 took less than a year of development until early access release ;)

If you have data yes, old warbirds sometimes missing a lot of stuff.

Another thing is amount of manpower asigned to the project.

WW2 stuff probably has 10% of what f-16 has.

Anyway i would be more then happy if ED could pop up another warbird every year :)

Yeah, the funny thing is if it's WWII then u will have missing data. If u r talking about modern jets then u will have classified data. We just can't do anything without every bit of data in place.

Still manpower differences assigned to ww2 and modern stuff is huge.

I don't think missing data is the issue, it's the small number of people working on the WW2 stuff that's the problem. My guess is it's only one or two programmers and some artists working on the WW2 stuff.

I manetioned both manpower and DATA

Or mayby even single hero :)

Are we really getting a D-30 Thunderbolt? Was this a prominent variant of the Thunderbolt? I'm underwhelmed by the decision of adding the P-51D-30. The D-25 was a step on the right direction though, but the D-5 or D-10 was a much more prominent variant of the Mustang in the ETO. So now I'm wondering if this is the same for the Thunderbolt?

Yes we are getting the D-30 model.

It’s hard to say which Thunderbolt model was more prominent. The “D” model was the most prominent... but there’s the D-5, D-10, 22, 27, 30, and 40.... and probably more in between.

The Thunderbolt had a very unique production line. Republic incorporated improvements and changes as fast as they could and rolled the planes out non-stop. Even large changes, like going from the Razorback canopy to the bubble top canopy, only got a new number! P-47B’s, C’s and D’s were all Razorback until the Block -25... from there they were bubble tops.

What made things worse was some of the newer changes were “retrofitted” in the field to some of the older blocks. For instance, I believe the P-47D-40 was the first to have a factory installed fin just before the vertical stabilizer to aid in yaw stability, but Republic also issued kits for mechanics to add the fins to older airplanes in the field.

With the P-47... you almost have to pick a timeframe, and then figure out what block was being produced at that time.... but like I mentioned before... you could also say it’s a Block-30 that’s been retrofitted with block -40 improvements... so it gets a bit confusing!

What makes you feel so underwhelmed by it?

Just that it was a fairly odd sub variant to do. I would have preferred a 5, 10, 15 or 20 for history and numbers' sake

D-30 was most produced p-47 with wooping number of 2600 about. D-20 about 400 D-5 300 planes

If we would get d-5 for example we would have real pain with k-4 flying around

in D-30 at least it has something :P

I would like to get p-47N if environment is going to be filled with k-4s and D-9s

Since we cant simulate overwhelming allied pilots over axis pilots it was 7:1 or something like that which mean on server we would need 14 allied planes while on axis side we would have only 2 players.

So if this is not possible at least allies should get best versions of planes D-30 fits in this scenario for me.

P-51H,Griffon spitfire etc etc.

But all we realy need is 20$-30$ addon which would add 150fuel for allies.

Obviously I was talking about the Mustang in the post you quoted, but ok.

So let me talk about my favorite plane the Fw190 ...

No it's a joke :D

Real question about the P47.

It was quite common to have the plane carrying extra ammo or sometimes only 6 or 4 guns to be lighter. As the other module now don't have the possibility to "drop" a gun or set the ammo for one gun in particular to zero. Will it be implemented for the P47 ?

And if yes, will it be implemented for all the other warbirds ?

Thanks.
