I'm wondering if anyone knows about this Baur BRD mod, as I could get a X52 Pro s/h a lot cheaper than the X55, so depending on how complicated and expensive this mod would be, it might be worth me doing that instead?

Doveman,

Bauer gimbal (in versions for X-45, 52, CH, Cobra, Long stick, DIY...) is done in laser cut metal and ball bearings.

But, is sold only in kit form, you need assemble then with nut and bolts and rivets. Someone say that cost around 100$ in Russia...

Thanks Soko1_br,

I probably wouldn't mind paying $100 if it would make a X52 Pro as good as they say and putting it together is no problem. It's probably going to be a bit hard getting hold of it though as I don't speak Russian ;)

One thing I have to bear in mind is I want a stick that's good for helos as well as planes. I understand that the X55 is good in this respect, as the spring can be removed completely but I'm not sure how well the X52 Pro, with or without any mods, compares.

Where does the tracking number, and the shipper's website, say the package is?

What I meant was, is the package actually in transit or does the shipper not have it from the vendor yet. It is not unheard of for a company to generate a shipping label without actually shipping the product.

I was just curious.

That's precisely what I think happened.

Sorry Sith. I think we'll have to wait longer before we get our Rhinos.

I wasnt expecting till April anyways, so I am ok :) But if its in Richmond now, they could atleast give me visitation rights :)

Ahh, OK, was about to say, UPS and FedEX can both remotely print labels and send to another location. Labels can be generated Locally, And transmitted via EMAIL or Print Server to Another location to be placed on box.

They can also print labels early and keep them with pre-order invoices.

GOT MINE!

Just plugged it in =)

The trigger is indeed, only 1 stage. Sad face.

But the throttle is actually quite impressive.

Can't wait to start building some profiles! lol I probably wont even get to fly with it much; I'll be burned out after I make everything I want to make.

Anyone else get theirs?

The chap on RSI did say he got a PR version by accident, which tbh, was probably made a good 6+ months ago and not entirely reprensentative of the actual production lot if what you're saying is true.

Just gave the UH-1 a spin and WOW amazing amount of control using the red spring for cyclic I feel as if I am flying the real deal every control input I made was registered smoothly and accurate...

The throttle as collective really allowed excellent power management and I haven't even started to map all the buttons/rot/switches..

This is hands down the best affordable HOTAS. I highly recommend checking it out..No "plasticky" "rattling" as others have claimed in the RSI thread. I will try to get a video up when my schedule allows.
