DCS 1.2.7 Open Beta - Now Available

Recommended Posts

I recommend installing all 10 MS VC Redistributables directly from MS links:

2005 x86/x64

2008 x86/x64

2010 x86/x64

2012 x86/x64

2013 x86/x64

There's a new 2012 x86/x64 build ver 11.0.61030 from November.

DCS only installs the 64-bit one.

You should all update the 32-bit one as well, and check the other installs.

Now just need to get it into the multiplayer.

DCS is 64-Bit only now isnt it?

Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2),

DCS 1.2.7 only appears to require the Visual C++ 2012 runtime, hence why it's included with the installer.

You can verify this using utilities such as DependencyWalker.

There's no point in installing other versions, not for DCS.

I believe it was stated one of the modules still used an older runtime.

Must say how impressed I'am with 1 click mod manager install, to think a yr or so ago with crap internet an such it would've taken me like 2 days to install everything from DCS world plus the A10 alone! here after installing DCS World now it seems only a few minutes as i said very impressed. In the past it always seemed like ED was 10 yrs or so behind the times in there ways of getting there products out to the public but now it's appears those days are over with this approach!

Yesterday on the 51st .... 20+ Players .... good old airquake .... no single crash. Together with (only what I noticed on 1st view) EOS fixed ..... DL working without dead contacts .... F-15 TWS autolevel on bugged target .... enigne smoke ..... Wingtip vortices.

****ing loved it!

Thank You ED for this Christmas present!

Now maybe good old times air battles can start again :) :) :)

Good combat flight is understanding the nature of things and the feeling to handle it.

Strange, my download went up to 13 megabytes/second.

PS: 50 megabytes/second would require an internet connection of at least 400 megabit/sec ...

I was wondering how I can use my 1.2.6 keymap on my second install of the game. I'm thinking of testing Open beta because some servers seems moved there.

Is there some folder I need to drop these files or can I open the file from my other installation? I don't know which files or where, would be awesome to know. :)

Copy and paste the contents of the keyboard folder in your Saved Games DCS/Config/Input/A-10C (or other modules)/ folder into the same folder in Saved Games DCS.openbeta Config folder.
