domkle
I've just dust off my copy of the DCS A10C for a new Haswell computer and I wonder whether DCS World would bring anything I do not get with the A10 default scenery/missions (except the free Su25 which is not a priority for me). Before engaging a long download and a hefty install, can any of you guys shed some light on the subject ? thanks Dominique Dominique
camsr
lots of bug fixes!
Flogger23m
Various upgrades, new 3D models for units, newer graphical effects, and multiplayer (doubt anyone still plays the old A-10C install). There really is no reason to not plug it into DCS World.
domkle
Ok, thanks again. The DCS-W install will recognize the A10C older install ? I dont have to erase the A10 only to put it back once World is in ? Dominique
cichlidfan
You need to install a newer version of A-10C for it to work with DCS World. Tone71
You need to install a newer version of A-10C for it to work with DCS World. Although the modules themselves aren't as big as the standalone, about 1gig for the A-10C. Windows 10 Home, Intel Core i7-9700K @ 4.6GHz, Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (8GB VRAM) on 34" LG curved monitor @ 3440x1440, 32GB RAM, TrackIR 3 (with Vector Expansion), Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Combat Pedals, Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs. domkle
You mean I've to buy another A10C or upgrade the old one ? Free? Dominique
cichlidfan
Upgrade/update the old one, and yes it is free. The activation key you are using now will work with the latest version as well. EDIT: I am still using the A-10C key that I bought in March, 2011. domkle
Piece of cake  ! Does it make any sense to keep the old DCS A10C now that I have the module in the mods/aircraft folder of DCS World ? Does it need it for some mysterious reasons ? thanks and enjoy Xmas you all Dominique
cichlidfan
You do not need the old installation for any reason to support the new installation. Deleting it will affect nothing in DCS World. Same for the related Saved Games folder. Merry Christmas to you as well.
