  1. Additional Comment to the one I made earlier. Hello. I know the earlier post seems impossible but take a closer look at exactly what a DRM product does. You purchase the core software, once you install the software, the company you purchased the software from then has you install updates with or without you permission, and allows you to play on their schedule (as long as their servers are up running, and no fishing trawler digs up main trunking cable accidentally, and there are no power outages in Russia..etc) only. You might think that this cannot happen, but this is exactly what this particular DRM product is doing (among all other DRM products) They are the cluster the articles are lightly referring to. How would any of you feel if you purchased a car and had to plug it in to an online port, and have to get an update or a new operating serial so you can use your car for that day? I know far fetched, but people thought going to the moon was far fetched. Anyway, it doesn't matter does it? It seems that people give away their rights simply to feed their desire for that one day, then off to the next great, and cool product, and so on, and so on. Later!
  2. You may not know this but... Hello. You may not know this, but by purchasing any DRM product, you are actually helping companies to do what we may not really wish to do. Go take a look at these two sites. http://www.xoxobook.com/technology/the-small-and-little-known-company-bill-gates-is-afraid-of/ and/or http://www.fourwinds10.com/siterun_data/science_technology/new_technologies_and_inventions/news.php?q=1262113839 Without you even knowing about this, you are helping work out the bugs for the future of being online. There is actually nothing we can do about it anyway. Later...I will never buy a DRM product ever.
  3. No one has thought of this at all. Hello. I have been reading allot about DRM, Rise of flight, and NO ONE has ever brought this point I am about to make. In this day and age, where companies go out of buisness daily, don't you think that this could be true for the company which has produced Rise of flight? You buy a product from a company that may not be in buisness tomorrow, and if the stock market crumbles (which it can at any moment, and I know, I lost money in this last crash), you may have just lost money for product that is no better than a coaster. I mean, if these clowns go out of buisness, your game is totally useless. NEVER BUY a product that requires you to go online (with the exception for multiplayer ONLY) to 1:) Register online to install the product, and 2:) to play single player. NEVER BUY THIS TYPE of PRODUCT!! What is wrong with everybody? Hell, this company could go broke, and I really mean they could go broke because of this crap DRM protocol they have implimented. We all know how quick the gaming industry moves, one day they support their product, next you can't even get on their website anymore. I have games here that I just bought off the shelve, and their websites are no longer supporting the product...for me to get updates, I have to get them from 3rd party sites. They don't care about you, and for any company to treat it's customers in such a callus manner like this should not even be in buisness, no matter how great their product is at the moment. BEWARE of these type of products, unless you have more money than you can count, and don't care about the cost then go ahead spend the money. Anyway, I haven't bought any DRM Product, and I won't simply because why should I support a company that doesn't support me? From what I have seen, their servers are up, then down, and up again....this company should be AVOIDED at all costs, they have shown that they cannot be trusted.. Also, you may have paid for the game, but you do not own it as long as you have to be connected to install, then play offline (you have to first be online to start the offline) you will never own it... ever. Even if they give you a patch for the game that disables the online feature to play offline, you have to remember something, you still have to be online to simply install the game. This company, and any other company out there that uses the DRM protocol will own you, and not the other way around. They have you guys jumping through all their hoops like trained puppets that you appear to have become. Good luck to you folks out there This is the end of my rant about this....
