  1. Not far off completion (but Cliffs of Dover) The bucket seat is from Sqn Ldr Skippers (Robert Shaw) Hurricane from the Battle of Britain.
  2. Thanks Ian. S!
  3. I sent you a PM Dave with my email. Can you let me know you received it OK. My "sent" messages box is showing a big fat 0. Cheers
  4. Good morning Dave. Thank you for your gracious offer. I would love to help out! PM sent with my email address. Build thread is on ACG (COD flyers). With a bit of luck, DCS may release a fly able Hurricane one day. http://www.aircombatgroup.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=4121
  5. Would you be willing to share your App/Code? I too have built my own working Hurricane cockpit. Switches are all genuine Air Ministry parts that work in Cliffs of Dover via an 0836x. Gauges are servo driven connected to a pololu. And that's as far as I can go. However your App/Code may take me another step forward. If you are willing to share? Regards -Nails
  6. Morning, Thanks for the comments. The Cockpit is for the Hawker Hurricane. Radiator, Trim, Rudder Trim (potentiometers) all work (Cliffs of Dover, but hoping someone release one for DCS in the future). Yes it is a curved screen using 2 x Optoma HD projectors and the SimPit Warp software for the blending. Green Paint. If Cripple is reading this (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=143452). The wife got it for me from B&Q it's called Bespoke, and is close to the real thing. Panel is made out of thin board, using a dremel to cut it all out. All the switches are the genuine air ministry parts which work connected to an 0836x Bodnar board. Projector Screen is the Icarus 180 imported from Nz. Sizing up Home made Hawker Hurricane H-Lever (underarm deodorant bottle, piece of dowel and MS Publisher, couple of microswitches, Drawer handle from B&Q painted red)
  7. 22mm Plastic Pipe. I was making sure the WiP instrument panel married up OK
  8. Morning, Subtle difference between the Hurricane and Spitfire fuel gauge. The Hurricane had a selector switch for the Port, Centre, Starboard tank. The gauge reading changed to whatever tank was selected. The tank held 30 gallons of fuel. Spitfire fuel gauge. Was marked "Tail on ground", and held 37 gallons of fuel. I made my labels in MS Publisher. Printed them to Photo Glossy paper, and then laminated them. Good luck with the build.
  9. This is my Hawker Hurricane Mk II, work in progress instrument panel build. I have used some parts from that shapeways site. Auto Boost Cut-Out (pull), Hurricane 8lb Boost Gauge Bezel and Oil/Fuel Pressure Gauges (place holders while I get a working gauge made up). The switches are all genuine, some (like the fuel tank selector switch, and Magnetos are all recycled Hurricane parts). I am using mine for Cliffs of Dover. However, if DCS ever release a Hurricane module, I'm ready!
  10. Good morning Mastiff - My comments are in BOLD sir 5. Make a Folder on C:/ called LEAVU and from the LEAVU/Java folder copy: and do what with it? KeyBindings (Folder) - (See note 13) lib (Folder) LEAVU2 (Java App) Make a Folder on C:/ called LEAVU and from the LEAVU/Java folder (open the Java folder that you downloaded from Yoda's website, and you will see the Keybindings folder, lib folder, and LEAVU2 Jar .exe file) - copy these files in to your newly created LEAVU folder on C 6. Make sure you download and install the JAVA VM (most of us are using the 32bit JRE, even on Windows 7 64bit, something to do with IE usually being 32bit even on 64bit systems): http://java.com/en/download/ie_manua...st=java.com:80 I did that but it does not show up in those folders. Why? You have actually just downloaded and installed the JAVA VM - this installs itself elsewhere on your system, not in to the LEAVU folder! Please note that in order to install the Java Virtual Machine on a computer, you will need to have "Administrator Rights" for that computer 7. From the Leavu/dll/jre32 folder copy all the dll files (6 of them) to your 'Windows/SysWOW64' (on Windows 7) folder. once again I did install JVM and its not showing up in the system32 or sysWoW64 folder. Not sure on this. I just did a normal copy and paste to the SysWoW64 folder and they were there - please try again. I hope this helps you out ...
  11. I too have been using VAC for a few years now. In LOFC 2.0 there is quiet a delay between issuing the order, and the Wingman (men) responding. This did not happen in FC 1.12 Does anyone know if there is a file I can tweak that shortens the response time? TIA
  12. Rgr that. Hold off on your reinstall for a little while longer. I think that Yoda is in the process of making LEAVU 2.0 an automated install. (Which would certainly take the hassle out of copying individual files).
  13. Agreed. Some are pretty obvious. But what do the NDCLT, NET, NORM SELF & SYNC options give you? Cracking little App though. It is what the U70's and the Cougar MFD's were made for - who needs F4-AF eh?
  14. Evening Sobe Stand alone PC (no Client/Host) This is how I interpreted the (shall we say) vague instructions. My OS is Windows 7, 64bit. 1. Unzip the Everything.zip 2. Copy all files from the Everything folder to C:/Program Files (x86)/Eagle Dynamics/LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2/Config (folder). 3. I then copied the following LUA files to the Config/Export folder: class Config ERI_radar (see note 4) Export LEAVU_fcns lua_keys lua_keys_win7 math_fcns netClient netSec Vector Yoda_Export 4. Use the Leavu+ERI compatibility LUA file if you want to use ERI Radar data and LEAVU together (I don't see why you wouldn't want to use both)? 5. Make a Folder on C:/ called LEAVU and from the LEAVU/Java folder copy: KeyBindings (Folder) - (See note 13) lib (Folder) LEAVU2 (Java App) 6. Make sure you download and install the JAVA VM (most of us are using the 32bit JRE, even on Windows 7 64bit, something to do with IE usually being 32bit even on 64bit systems): http://java.com/en/download/ie_manual.jsp?locale=en&host=java.com:80 7. From the Leavu/dll/jre32 folder copy all the dll files (6 of them) to your 'Windows/SysWOW64' (on Windows 7) folder. 8. From you C:/LEAVU folder, double click the LEAVU2 java .exe file. 9. Once LEAVU 2.0 is running Click the Instruments Tab > Click on LoF15MFD: a. No Frame: (if positioning to another monitor a Samsung 7" U70 for example) which has a pair of Cougar MFD's around them. b. Add: if you are using a touchscreen or your mouse to activate the various tabs on the MFD. 10. Click on the LoF15 MFD that is displayed in the Active Window > Bind Keys 11. Click on MFD1Keys > Load to load the default keybinds 12. Click the LoF15MFD in the Available window, if you want to add a second MFD then follow instructions from step 10. But load the MFD2 key bind file instead. 13. A note about using the keybinds with a Cougar MFD. The keybinds are numbered 0 thru 19. However, they should really be numbered 0-9, then 19 - 10. (For example, DCLT is the bottom right button of the MFD (button 10) in accordance with LEAVU's MFD1Keys this keypress was allocated to Button 19 (which is at the top left of the MFD). Reversing the 10 - 19 numbers sorted it out for me. Hope this helps others who are having snags getting LEAVU to work.
  15. My bad - I have it working now. I thought the NUMBER referred to the Numberpad keys (this is what TB uses when making profiles)! As you were ........!
  16. Cheers Yoda. Does the syntax NUMBER0-9 refer to the Number Pad keys, or the normal (along the top of the keyboard) number keys?
  17. OK. Still having a problem. 1. Xpadder installed. Detects Cougar MFDs (F16 MFD 1 & 2). 2. Added buttons 0 - 19, arranged in the shape of MFD 1 (not doing MFD 2 yet, until MFD 1 is working). 3. Copied Schizwiz's MFD1 & MFD2 files to my C:/LEAVU/Java/KeyBindings folder and replaced Yoda's originals. 4. Key binding for button 0 is LCONTROL NUMBER0 (then all the others 1 thru 19) 5. In Xpadder, allocate LCONTROL NUMBER0 to button 0 (then all the others listed 1 thru 19) 6. Start LEVU 2.0 > Instruments > (select) Lo F15 MFD > No Frame (then position it on the U70 monitor > Add (Lo F15 MFD moves to the Active window). 7. Click on Lo F15 MFD in the Active Window > Bind Keys (Key Bindings window pops up) > Select MFD1Keys > Load. 8. Now at this point the Key Bindings pop up window remains on screen - is it supposed to? Or after successful load is it supposed to close? 9. In LEAVU 2.0 dialog box, I click on Connect Sim > Start LOFC 2.0 10. LOFC 2.0 starts, LEAVU Sim Connected box is ticked. 11. Radar picture updates - no problems there 10. None of the programmed Cougar MFD buttons change the MFD picture. (Even if I try the keyboard combination LCONTROL NUMBER0 - 9, or LALT NUMBER0 - 9). Is there a step I am missing here? Thanks.
  18. Many thanks for that Schizwiz. I went to the Xpadder.com website and supported the author by paying for a licence. Renato: Thanks too for your headsup. Rather than using Client/Host I have now setup LEAVU to run from my gaming PC. It is working on the Samsung U70's without problems. S!
  19. Good morning, I have LEAVU and ERI installed on a 2nd PC (WinXP SP3, all UTD). This usually runs my TB setup, and has a 10" touchscreen as its main monitor. Yesterday, I also connected 2 x Samsung U70 screens, that fit behind the Cougar MFD pack. Unfortunately I have come across a couple of "issues". 1. LEAVU starts, and I create a borderless F15 MFD. 2. When I drag the place holder to one of the Samsung monitors (left or right) to resize (or just display). The screen is black, with no graphical data being displayed (whether connected to the sim or not, this includes the default graphics too). If I drag the screen back to the main display, the default graphics are displayed again. Puzzled with this one, and nothing I have done so far, has made the graphics appear. 3. In posts 959, Schizwiz has successfully mapped LEAVU to his MFDs. My question is how? The Cougar MFD's cannot be keymapped directly, so I presume Schizwiz did this via the FC 2.0 menu (the MFD's show up there ready to be key mapped). 4. Shizwiz, would you be a pal and tell/pm me the key commands you allocated to the MFD's for the F15 (so I can do mine).
