  1. Once you call See you at 10 to the Marshall, it will say “Update state switched off”, and then when you’re in pattern with the ship as above, it will call the approach officer with call sign and number, angels/altitude and fuel state. Then tower replies as an example “305, Tower, Roger. BRC is 309, signal is Charlie”. Which is then when you’re cleared to do your pattern approach.
  2. After practicing a few dozen, maybe like 50-70 recoveries, I’ve noticed when I call the ball I almost always get a wave off from the LSO, even when I’m flying in the middle of the E bracket with supposedly ok AoA. If I violate protocol and don’t call the ball, I can get a grade C, 3 wire recovery no problem (obviously not good but hey, it’s a recovery). I’ve also boltered and the LSO graded it B 2 wire lol. How is that possible? Is there a difference between how the LSO is guiding you or however it is called, when you call the ball?
  3. Kept getting shot down by the random skill Mig-21, until I watched the video in the second post. So helpful. I'm able to get on the AI's six or outmaneuver it after a bit. Hardest plane to shoot down for some reason. Even the Su-30 is no match for it.
  4. Love the F16-C as well, I've spent a bunch of hours on the Hornet, but the Viper is so fast, it's satisfying to fly, except when having to land with almost no brakes
