  1. Yeah I guess these controllers are a bit dated (dangit!)...it's a shame too as they are virtually unused - still in the original boxes and have the disks and instructions, and it appears the cables were never even stretched out...I attached 2 images below from when I was gonna sell 'em on Ebay. Well then gents - I really do appreciate all your help on this, you guys enjoy flying and I'll keep checking back for more info. -troenix-
  2. Ok, thanks for that information, and digital_steve - you're correct...I should have introduced myself. Actually I used to enjoy flying R/C airplanes back in the 1980's & 90's with my dad, but can't afford to anymore (especially with the manner in which I land my planes...). As of now sometimes I will fly the digital birds using RealFlight G3 and I'm pretty good with that, no cost to crashes there LOL (spacebar = new plane)!! So CyBerkut - would a serial to USB adapter not work with these controllers or have they not been tested? Can you direct me to where/how to convert these using "Leo Bodnar's board"...and thanks again for replying guys - I tried the forum for x-plane.org and got flamed for even posting! -troenix-
  3. Hello all - I hope this is a good place to post this message...if not then I applogize. I have 2 controllers that I would like to sell that may/may not work for this type of sim but I want somebody to enjoy them as I am not a flight sim user per se. Here is a description I wrote up to sell them on Ebay last year (obviously they didn't sell...): ------------------------------------------------------- Almost new Sumcom F-15E Talon Tactical Control Stick and the Strike Force Throttle Controller, both on their original boxes with all equipment and instructions. The reason that I say they are "Almost New" is because my dad gave these to me, but I don't think he ever used them and I never did, but they basically look new. Other than being taken out of the boxes to inspect the condition they are new from what I can see, and from what I can tell they we're expensive, somewhere around $280 for the set. If I were a pilot looking to hone my skills at flying with a flight simulator, these 2 controllers would be what *I* would look for. I've never really looked at a control stick in a fighter jet, and I have no idea what the buttons do on these 2 units, but I think I could blow something outta the sky with a vengeance if I tried! There's a *LOT* of controls to use, they look pretty authentic...so I figure hopefully somebody can put 'em to good use - I hate to see them sit and collect dust when they can still be used. Please let me know if you have questions or want to see them for yourself as I have camera images I can send/post, email Cory at debian_mang@yahoo.com ------------------------------------------------------- I suspect if this forum is the wrong place to be, can you point me in the right direction? Thanks for reading! -Cory-
