  1. Patience is most definitely a virtue! Here's where I'm at now: I've managed to get to the LOFC_Training folder. I've opened that folder. I've read the Readme.txt I follow the instructions in the readme file. I open the Index.html folder. I now see seven different links to various training. I click on UPT - Undergraduate Pilot Training I click on 1. Introduction: Changing Direction with Pitch, Roll, and Yaw. And, I'm still confused. Just when I think I'm getting somewhere. Nothing appears! Something about Put Movies Here. That's in the movies folder. So, where are the movies? And how do I get 'em in that folder? What a frustrating experience this has been. But I will remain Patient.
  2. Everything in life is a process! Okay, one of you great fliers informed me of a software download site. Thank you. However, I am still guessing at what to do next. So, here's what I've done so far. I found: FTP 1, FTP 3, HTTP 1, HTTP3 all of which are Setup.Exc files. I'm using Firefox. It has all four downloads ready to run. But it's asking me to insert a disc. Okay, I've tried inserting the MAC disc, but it doesn't recognize it for the download. I've tried inserting the FC2 disc, but it doesn't recognize it for the download (I think I did this too, not sure). I even inserted a brand new DVD-RW into my disc drive, and that isn't working either. Oh geepers! What do I do now?
  3. To help those who choose to respond to my question above, I am including here what I am actually experiencing. On Modern Air Combat: On UPT 1. Introduction: Changing direction with Pitch, Roll, and Yaw. This leads to: Warning / File / Missions \ Tracks \ Training \ Training 0 101.TRK is not found. Now why this is happening, I do not know or understand. On Flaming Cliffs 2: At Lessons Introduction: Changing direction with Pitch, Roll, and Yaw. > Start This leads to: Launcher.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Then I send an error report to Microsoft and the program in the window closes. Now why this is happening, I do not know or understand. One will expect, that when they purchase a program such as this that the training modules on the discs work. Well, on both of my discs on either MAC or FC2 training doesn't work. What can I do to make these modules work? Thank you
  4. Thank you. However, the first link is written in a language other than English which I do not understand. The second link, seems quite involved, and I'll have to spend more time reading through this information. While I appreciate your effort to provide these links, I wonder why I cannot start training with the information on the disks which came with this program. Why can't I start these training modules? It seems to me that starting my training with these modules is a good place to start. What I need for your to respond to is that question above: Why can't I start these training modules? The extra info which you've provided is great, but I want to start with the program training modules themselves first then I'll build my understanding from there.
  5. To all: After spending hours installing, attempting to begin training, looking around and around for answers, I can't seem to get the training to work. First I installed Lock On Modern Air Combat, and I tried to launch the Training unsuccessfully. Then I installed Lock On Flaming Cliffs 2, and I tried to launch the Training unsuccessfully. I have spent hours trying to get thing started and learn more about this amazing program. What do I need to do to solve this problem. It will help you to know: I use Windows XP Professional, SP3. Direct X has been installed, the right version, during installation. The preliminary screens to both of these discs plays okay. I just can't get the training to start. With MAC, the system can't find the file. With FC2, the launcher.exc encounters a problem and needs to close. What's up with this? Here I am super excited about getting this program up and running, and I can't get training started in either the MAC or FC2. Yet, I am exhausted from all the effort I've put into this thing today. Well, one good thing, with MAC, I did see one or two demos. Good day all, but I've had enough for one day.
