  1. Hi Flappie, I throttle my card to a maximum of 1820 frequency, ran DCS in VR for over an hour last night and not had one crash. These high clocks that are being used by stock, maybe causing a lot of others to see the DX back end error.?
  2. I'm going to throttle back my card to 1800 and do some test tonight, I'll report back
  3. Something is not right here.? I've just restarted my pc loaded up CPU-ID and DCS and look at the stock video card speed back to 1898.! No VR running either Wtf.???? Sorry for the pic I couldn't get snipping tool to work so its an iphone pic.
  4. Hi Flappie I'd unistalled MSI from the pc and was getting crashes constantly.I've realised I've got Halflife Alyx so may run that and see what stock speeds that runs at. All my issues must have been due to the video card being overclocked, but I never run any overclocking software.I'd tweak the cpu for extra horses. I've just run H/L Alyx its topping the card out at 1800, so I thought I'd run DCS again with no MSI running only CPU-ID and DCS topped out at 1783.? Why its been running at 1898 I dont know.?
  5. So this has drove me mad all weekend.! No VR headset its fine. Latest Nvidia drivers installed, new DCS saved games folder, repair, clean, no overclocking software installed.Crash, crash crash.! Something aint right,so I loaded up CPU-id to check my cpu,ram and video settings when running DCS with no VR. My stock Inno 3D 1080Ti should run Core Frequency 1556 boost 1670. DCS default 1898..!!!! way over boost by default.! I cant test another game as I've nothing else on my system, Youtube videos nothing comes close to that speed. Re-loaded MSI Afterburner, made a profile to stick to default card settings max core 1670 VR runs perfect.! Something in DCS is overclocking the card by default..?? I cant say for sure as I've no other games but this could be your DirectX backend error. I ran a MSI Afterburner test/scan that maxed out at 1800 core. This might help others who are getting the same error.?
  6. Well I've updated my graphics driver this morning, deleted FXO and metashaders, done a repair and used the dll file in the Tdr post.Removed MSI aftterburner from my system. So no overclocking, loaded up Dcs run the cold start mission in Normandy (spitfire)tabbed F4 to follow another ai plane.Put the headset on my desk and watched the monitor for around 5 minutes and the system crashed. Its not creating a crash log now.! I'm at a loss now.? remove headset and everything is fine.DCS/Steam/Windows MR/Reverb..??????
  7. Been having this problem on and off for the last six months, but lately perhaps in the last three months it craches everytime.Sometimes I get a crash log other times it freezes my pc. Its always the ERROR DX11BACKEND.I've tried everything and I'm at a loss. I've got a 1080Ti and a 7700k running a Reverb G1. Today I've disconnected the Reverb and can run any mission fine without any crashes what so ever. Its definately Steam VR/Reverb/DCS issues.Never got this with 2.5 Raised a ticket again, spent a fortune on this sim but its now unplayable for me.I've payed for the P-47 when it came out but have never run this module yet.! Fed up.!!! dcs.log-20201204-174528.zip dcs.log-20201116-180808.zip dcs.log-20200430-221233.zip
