Yes it is one mission, but with random tasks, so there is a degree of replay-ability there.

I personally think this is the way forward

Missions are about teamwork and tactical planning

    DCS has become very lonely

Hopefully campaigns soon will be like Falcon 4.0

Is there any chance other aircraft can be added to this multiplayer campaign

My friend is hooked onto the harrier at the moment and has there been any more missions or updates added

Also is there an easy way of transferring the original A10c to A10c ll progression within the campaign

I got to mission 11 but would like to carry on in the newer A10 module

If not no problems I'll just start again

    Regards

  2. Yeah definitely the mission is way too difficult and have had around 6 attempts

It's a long hour and half to every single time get done by a manpad

I've just discovered that apparently checking the override box in gameplay will let you import your own custom settings into the campaign

It's so against my belief but had no choice and set weapons to unlimited and immortal as only having about 3000ft between ground and cloudbase and surrounded by mountains to try and sort out the manpads

I'm ashamed and feel like I've let everyone down but it worked and I will never do it again

Already put my settings back to normal

  3. Just completed mission 14

Was impossible to see RPG guys on the roof

Just read that they are no longer there but on the ground

Not sure if I need to start a new topic but want to say every time I get the go hot or cleared for attack runs as soon as I release weapons is says do not fire you are not cleared (maybe not exactly the wording but can not remember)

  4. Have tried mission 13 twice now and come across the same problem

When at target area (Flat Top Mountain) I am asked to set FM radio to 36.7 or 37.6 can not remember exactly as it was last week.

    Then press space bar.

Nothing happens and the mission does not progress

Is this a known issue as I have never come across this problem in the previous 12 missions

Maybe something I am doing wrong

Just want to say its a fantastic campaign and please make more.

While I am here is there any chance this campaign can be multiplayer or is not possible due to ED

    I t will be a game changer

    Regards

  5. 2d died with prepar3d and xplane.
If only they could refund all the investment from customers.
    I could buy 2 x 3090,s.
It was an ocean of addons.
VR is utterly amazing and is the way forward.
Even broken as hell in dcs it still outweighs 2d.
I have invested just under a £1000 on modules now and feel that I have earned every right to say what I want.
Dcs or Ed whoever you are please sort something out in VR.
    I will pay!
And a campaign mode like falcon4.0.
Oh why did you restrict the A10 front strut movement.
    It's now unrealistic.
If you look at the real aircraft it has massive movement when braking.
    Sorry I'm talking shit now.
So basically I will still fly in dcs but unfortunately I won't be investing another penny until the product is working in VR.
Or even communication with your customers is a start

  6. I wish I could answer this question and problem.
Firstly dcs engine is fairly old.
Definitely spending thousands on a gpu will not help.
    It will help a little.
    I'm still running a 1080ti with G2 Reverb.
I have since last year doubled my fps by just simply upgrading my cpu and motherboard.
    Wow what an improvement.
    10900k is awesome.
My settings are basically all maxed out even msaa is set to 4x.
Most importantly everyone will have a different experience due unique rigs.
I have discovered lately by disabling motion smoothing has given me a much better experience and stutter free.
    Even higher fps and smooth.
With motion smoothing force enabled it was erratic.
Jumping from 30 fps to mid 50,s.
This was also causing steam vr to crash.
I think my 1080ti was probably struggling to cope with the extra task.
Hopefully ED will have a solution for VR users soon.
Shimmering has been massively reduced by upping msaa to 4x but is a little fps hungry.
I'm happy with 30fps on the supercarrier maxed out settings in multiplayer.
Once airborne I'm up in the 40,s.
Let's hope vulkan will help us vr users.
In the mean time my cpu upgrade was the massive improvement for me.
Not sure if you posted some specs of your rig.
    If possible post them.
    I maybe able to help

  7. Hi
    I have the combination.
    G2 and 1080ti.
I totally doubled my performance frame rate from around 20fps to on average 40-45fps.
I achieved this by upgrading my cpu from a amd fx9590 to a Intel 10900k overclocked to 5.1ghz.
I bought cpu and mobo from scan.co.uk which came with water cooler and 32gb ram.
They overclocked on site and bench tested for 24 hrs.
For £1200 this is the only way forward considering the pandemic we are in.
I'm not paying £3000 for gpu.
    No way.
And tbh dcs is old technology and cpu upgrade will help not gpu.
My settings are near enough maxed out apart from super sampling in steam VR settings.
    They are set to 70%.
If I get time today I will send over my settings.
But tbh cpu upgrade best option.
Admittedly on the supercarrier looking at the tower structure it drops to 30fps and heavy Syria missions

Hm … maybe. But the core members which purchased a lot of ED modules using VR nowadays.

For me- the option to use VR googles is the striking argument for DCS. So ED is correct when they pushed the issues into highly priority section of development.

I really hope the team will be able to fix the cloud jiggling problem soon. The new cloud system is a big step forward but spent me a lot of motion sickness.

    Cheers

    Tom

    100% agree Tom.

Not really interested in the guys that use 2D ,impossible to go back to 2D as its pants and zero realism factor.

I have spent £800 on modules and now DCS is unplayable.

Its VR or nothing , luckily the RAF is keeping me busy at the moment.

I hope the issue is fixed very soon or at least some communication.

This is priority over new modules

ED could at least say , sorry guys we are working into this issue and should hopefully take so long or we will keep you updated every week.

I'm £800 in so before anybody says modules keep them going then yes I get it.

    Regards

I’m quite certain that op’s problem is not setting-dependant but caused by the vram leak which has been causing same kind of symptoms since autumn. I’ve had that since the release of syria and i’ve run all possible settings to get rid off it with no help. Even different steamvr versions and nvidia drivers etc. Nowadays i just routinely restart the game after every flight to avoid the fps drop. I’m curious to hear if op finds solution to the problem so i’ll follow this thread but i’m little skeptic before ED improves the vram handling..

    I think spot on.

Nothing to do with settings as I have been using the same settings for over a year.

This problem may have been around since Autumn so could have something to do with nvidia drivers.

I can lower all settings and funny enough I loose FPS,how strange is that.

I think ED problem or nvidia

  10. Just an update from my last post.

My bad I dont have to restart PC I just have to restart DCS.

I have tried the shader cache but its made no difference.

This must be an issue with ED since last updates as other members have reported the same issue.

I was thinking about rolling back my nvidia driver to maybe July August last year as from then all updates are tuned for the 3 series cards.

Nvidia probably have no interest now for 1 and 2 series cards.

I have also tested this in 2D.

My frame rates in 2D goes upto 170fps and if I quit the mission and restart is stays the same so obviously the problem is in VR.

So for the time being the fix for me is just to restart DCS everytime I quit a mission.

I have recently downloaded OP Shader and its unplayable.

Starting at Incirik in the A10cII my frame rates are 12fps in VR and a 100fps in 2D.

This performance is shocking but maybe OP Shader is very thirsty.

Glide thanks for your interest but I forgot to ask you,are you playing in VR or 2D

  11. My setup is an Intel 10900K 64gig of ram hero xii motherboard gtx 1080ti 500gig ssd and aReverb G2

My performance has been pretty amazing considering my outdated graphics card.

My current issue is when I load an instant action case 1 supercarrier F14 in Syria the performance is good 45FPS.

If I quit this mission and load the same one again my frame rate drops to 18FPS and its basically unplayable.

If I quit DCS and shutdown PC and restart it goes back up to 45FPS.

    Very Strange.

This happens every time without fail.

So the only fix for me at the moment is to restart PC.

I have currently upgraded from an Oculus Rift and dont recall having this problem before.

Has anybody else had this problem?

Hopefully somebody can shed some light.

  12. Yep its a CV1.

Have only noticed blurry edges with the G2,never noticed this with the CV1.

Maybe the CV1 was balanced as it only pushed out much less resolution so probably less noticeable.

I could read all text with CV1 sometimes struggled with lower consoles very far back especially F14.

My conclusion is that the G2 cant push out 4k but only in a small area (sweet spot).

Personally I would prefer a balance all round. Not sure if 4k is a great idea in Dcs or needed as the graphic engine is very outdated.

The immersion, gameplay, smoothness and performance is very important to me.

Hopefully not having a pop at the G2 but I think I expected more, especially coming from a CV1

Also ACM is hard work now with the G2

Have you tried the CV1 or Rift S.

Apparently the Rift S had a sweet spot as well.

Maybe I will get use to it

  13. Have recently upgraded from Oculus Rift (non S model) to G2.

Have to say I was disappointed with the blurry edges especially looking down onto lower consoles.

With respect to peoples comments that this is apparently normal with VR Headsets.

I never noticed this with my oculus.

The G2 looks great in the sweet spot but the rest looks pants.

At this stage i prefer my oculus.

Maybe I will also get use to this weirdness.

I am surprised at the build up to the launch especially on YouTube. It would of been helpful if this was mentioned.

I'm very surprised not many people have complained about this blurry edge business.

    I'll keep trying
