  1. Using Pimax Play 140.4, QVFR, QV Companion @120% I get: Marianas mostly 90fps, low level over Guam 65-75 fps. (Ultra Shadows- Low might yeild 90) On the ground at Anderson 90 fps. Germany mostly 90 fps. Berlin low level 55-65 fps (side view awful). Sinai mostly 90 fps. Conclusion: despite some attractive features the latest Pimax Play it appears to be inferior to version 140.4 with QVFR & QVC in pure performance terms. Hopefully Pimax have some new PP under development
  2. 1/120 =0.00833. looks like the hardware is working as advertised.
  3. Most settings are high/max but I did lower shadows to low and clouds to standard to help provide some headroom. 90hz gives frame time of 11.11 but 72hz give 14 ish. Interestingly the Crystal OG at 120 hz Gave a Solid 8.33. No 120 hz option with the Super at this time unfortunately. if you don’t already do the following please try: Task Manager Details tab Right click on DCS (after log in) Select Priority and set to High, NOT Realtiime) Should help. But has to be done everytime you log in.
  4. The Super arrived today minus DMAS, they will arrive later. Ordered 12 Feb so one day short of 6 months to deliver. Early testing shows amazing clarity. I borrowed the DMAS from my original Crystal and that worked just fine. Still exploring software tweaks, but 90 hz produces best frame time over 72 hz.
  5. Ordered 12 Feb, email advising of shipping estimated in May, followed by another email a week later estimating shipping in late June or early July. Email received on 14 July stating headset ready for shipment which would be advised in 7-14 days. Email sent from me requesting shipping update received a response this morning that shipping may happen in 2-3 weeks. If it was ready for shipping 2 weeks ago why will it take a further 5 weeks from then to ship . if I am lucky it might ship in late August so I guess I am looking at September for receipt as the earliest! Not happy - Sorry Pimax you are falling waaaay short on meeting customer expectations.
  6. Monitor has refresh rate 144 Hz. I set DCS to 145 FPS, the Nvidia Control Panel to 144 and adjusted Pimax between 72,90 and finally 120 and starting with a frame rate of 11 ms then 10ms and finally 120FPS gave approximately 8ms, which is the best I have ever achieved with my 9800X3D. I can only conclude that uncapping/not throttling has merit with this CPU. Generally I can get 120 FPS on any map. The toughest test being low level over Berlin when the FPS is reduced to 70-90 with Pimax set to 120.
  7. 4 days (including weekend) after an email advising my Super (50 PPD) is undergoing testing, I received another email requesting delivery address confirmation. Now just awaiting shipping and dispatch details. 5 months and 2 days after order placed.
  8. Ordered the Super 50PPD mid Feb 2025. Today email received indicating that assembly is complete, testing is under way. Awaiting address confirmation email and shipping details etc. 5 months since ordering.
  9. 12 Feb 25 - forecast June/July?
  10. To ensure your Pimax Crystal headset plays the default sound, you need to configure it within both the Pimax Play software and your operating system. First, within Pimax Play, navigate to device settings and select the headset as the default audio output device. Then, within your operating system's sound settings (e.g., Windows Sound Control Panel), also select the Pimax headset as the default. Here's a more detailed breakdown: Within Pimax Play: Open Pimax Play: Launch the Pimax Play software on your computer. Access Device Settings:Navigate to the Pimax Play settings menu and find the device settings section. Select Headset as Default:Look for the option to set the default audio output device and choose your Pimax Crystal headset. Within Your Operating System (e.g., Windows): Open Sound Control Panel:Search for "Sound" in the Windows search bar and open the Sound Control Panel. Select Pimax Headset: Go to the "Playback" or "Output" tab and choose the Pimax Crystal headset as your default device. Apply Changes: Make sure to save or apply the changes within the sound control panel. By following these steps, you'll ensure that your Pimax Crystal headset is selected as the default audio output device both within Pimax Play and your operating system, guaranteeing that the headset will be used for all sound output, according to ED Forums. if your headset is not powered up or connected to your pc then it won’t get selected by Windows. I am not on my pc at the moment so cannot send a screenshot of the actual location of the default selection I Pimax play. HTH
  11. Select headset as default in Pimax play under device settings. Ensure Pimax selected in Windows sound and DCS Audio and you are good to go
  12. Having been prompted to clarify if these issues have been resolved the answer is no. As I explained above I have made two unsuccessful attempts to provide a track file. Additionally, there is at least one other thread expressing concern that the data link is broken to which I have added my support. If I can successfully link to a representative track file I will in due course.
  13. To add my support to the suggestion that the Data Link and radar are broken. It does not happen on every engagement but it does happen all too frequently. Not only is there missing target tracks and there are examples of misdirection ie target is indicated at my 2 o’clock but the target attacks from the 10 o’clock. Two days ago while fighting PvP, DL indicated my opponent was at the 3 o’clock but the RWR was screaming he was on my six. Clearly something has changed and is not right. ED I implore you to believe we are not making this up or incompetent operators of the F16.
  14. I have tried to produce a track file, the first MP file was corrupted and unreadable, the second, a SP version, recorded different events to what was actually flown. In the SP version I engaged 5 x Mig 23 where radar information and DL tracks were not visible or patchy. Missile lethality and reliability was far worse than historically experienced. I landed after 5 victories rearmed and took off with a ground attack weapons but with the aim of shooting down a IL-76 on the way. Again poor radar returns (large target!) even no return within 10 miles switching to dogfight gained a lock and back to missile override to fire 2 x 120C. The SP replay had me shot down while engaging 5 x Mig 23 (which did not happen), thus eliminating the remainder of the mission. Therefore I am at a loss to provide the evidence you require to support shortfalls in radar/DL performance. Furthermore, changes in missile reliability and lethality are now evident in both MP and SP modes. There are definitely changes to the Viper radar/DL tracks vs the historical performance over the last 4+ years and not for the better. I do know other PvP players that have experienced the same sorts of issues, so I know I am not alone with my concerns. Naturally if I can provide a representative track file I will forward it accordingly.
