Hi all. Semi-new at Lock-On played it last year and now just bought FC 2 from Direct2Drive. I had formatted my hard drive last week I am currently trying to install my original disk. It is damaged, however, and I've researched on how to retrieve the info and how to fix a scratch. This tiny scratch is going from center to about an inch along the disk can hardly feel it. Tried the toothpaste hint with no luck so I downloaded/installed the CD Recovery Toolbox Free 1.1 and retrieved all the info and placed it in a separate folder.
I installed Lock-On from the setup.exe with no problem but when i try to play the game it quickly gives me this error "the application or dll C:\ - \edobjects.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation folder diskette." Probably corrupt.
So I'm thinking this file is in the data 2 zip because that is where the problem seems to be.
I live in Moose Jaw,SK,Canada and we don't have much for stores that can carry this game.
Anybody know what other things i can try to install Lock On? I would like to start playing this FC2 . ;)
