I've updated the OP with this FAQ entry, since I've been getting questions about this.

Do I need to turn on labels to use this?
No, the dot system in DCS is completely independent of labels. There is some confusion around the label system having a couple "dot" settings, but what those do is draw a label with a little . over the target. Labels are (at present) not obscured by clouds or the cockpit frame.

The dots in DCS meanwhile are a completely separate function and do not interact with the label system at all. They are always on, cannot be turned off, and cannot be modified by players without messing with the shader itself as this mod does.

Yes, I was confused by this as well. I think I would word it something like "The dot is the smallest representation of an object at ranges where it's representation on the screen would normally be smaller than a single pixel"

I forgot to mention: the flights are made specifically tuned to your preset channel 1 for what you mention above, so if you leave your radio as is, you should hear them jump to action.

I never touched radio 1 but didn't hear anything. Just Jester mentioning how the base is burning, after that 10 minutes of silence until I get clearance to land.

  3. This is a duplicate from the thread "Feedback Thread F-14 Tomcat - Update April 13th 2023". Please feel free to delete one of the posts where deemed most appropriate.

Here's my feedback for mission 1 of Reforger II:

Arriving at the de-arm pad, all soldiers were dead (which is hilarious, since Jester just doesn't acknowledge this). I guess the static units should be spawned in after the attack, to make sure they survive?

Otherwise the mission was nice, if not a bit empty, since a lot of things happen, but nobody talks about it, except for jester in half a sentence.
Maybe have Jester suggest to tune to Alpha Whiskey on radio one and hear some chatter? Just a suggestion though.

But I'm once again amazed at what you get with the module and I'm looking forward to what's to come.

  4. Is there a thread for the new campaign? If not: here's my feedback for mission 1:

Currently working on mission 2.... Will be followed by mission 4.  Hopefully 2 will be up next weekend.

    I hope you enjoy it!

Are you certain the mission works? I'm really bad at the F-5 but I'm certain I'm hitting the high priority APCs with my hydras, but they seem to be invincible. I checked the mission file and it seems they only lose invicibility when a bomb gets near them...

Make sure you intercept the bombers before they engage the ships. The ships must survive.

Gotcha. It was a bit weird flying the mission and getting no feedback at all if you did things right. No warning that missiles were launched or that ships were destroyed. Only found out after landing that I failed the mission.

  7. What is the requirement for proceeding the campaign in this mission? Do you have to save all ships? Do you have to destroy all enemies? I only know you have to land and stop :)
