hm, i just tested this on mariana map.
Weather set:
Preset cloudy+rain 4
QNH 28.35, cloud base 8202 ft
(Wind settings don´t seem to matter at all)
-> Carrier is on Case II recovery.

Approach in DCS is the same freq. You can´t tell carriers to use several freqs afaik, so just stay on your dialed numbers and you´ll be fine.

For Steam Version, right click your game, go to Properties and select "Betas". Here you chose "openbeta" from the dropdown list and voilá.

AFAIK this is normal. You can turn off the UFC by pressing the "CLR" Button twice.

For research purpose:
Reason was all modules that i bought on STEAM and that were transferred to standalone, got deactivated.
I went on and transferred them again to my DCS account - working again.
