  1. The DDCS server seems to use CA a lot. It's not dedicated to just CA though.
  2. Still really wanting more documentation of how the RX 7900s are doing in VR without all the power consumption and heat defect noise. Hard to find anything recent that specifically addresses this. I've had both the 4080 and the 7900XTX in my cart a few times from various online retailers but I keep stopping myself in the end. I will also want to upgrade my monitor finally from 1080p and being able to save $200 for the XTX can go towards that monitor upgrade but not if it just sucks for VR.
  3. Yeah the shimmering very annoying. I've never been sure if that's due to using a Quest 2 or from some other setting or lack of sufficiently powerful enough graphics card.
  4. Wondering what CPU and how much ram you have. I had a Quest 2, Ryzen 5800x (non 3D) and an RTX 3060 with 32gb of RAM and could play on Enigma's fairly well. I actually upgraded to 64gb of ram the other day but haven't really tested that much yet in multiplayer since I am trying to learn new modules first. Regardless I am also considering an upgrade to the XTX or possibly the 4080. The money I save on the XTX could go towards a better monitor is why I haven't pulled the trigger on a 4080 yet. p.s. Upgrading my ram originally from 16gb to 32gb was one of the biggest things that helped make my DCS experience smoother.
  5. I like this server a bit more than one of your main competitors since the lineups are more historically accurate. I would like to see you all make a YT video explaining the server mechanics a bit more sort of like how Enigma does for his which may also have an added benefit of advertising your server more.
  6. This has been useful. Just tried a mission where I was getting single digit fps in VR, I used this to clean up my RAM and it jumped back into the 30s where my refresh rate is set.
  7. Let me tell you something, they are both games and people play them to have FUN. Balance should always exist in games because of their nature. Maybe you're the kind of person who likes to play with cheat codes but I like a challenge and balance in my games. Even if the balance is asymetrical in nature (i.e. Starcraft). I am not saying that vehicle stats should be unhistorically altered as you attempted to strawman but as the other person who replied to you posted, planes should fly against their contemporaries, not vehicles a decade or more behind them.
  8. Agree with OP, Redfor does seem to need more competitive aircraft. I am still fairly new to DCS so maybe the balance is there and I don't see it. I do know that in most Blue vs Red servers hardly anyone seems to fly red so that tells me something. The poster above me referenced War Thunder where up until recently I spent most of my time. Beyond other issues I won't go into here, one of the things that has bothered me is that they have implemented ahistorical matchmaking where you constantly have basically the same aircraft fighting each other. Part of the reason I came to DCS is I expected more realism. Sure it's there in flight models and switchology but I expect it in the PvP department too so you can have reliably balanced Nato vs. Warsaw Pact type servers. I am aware of the Cold War and Korea Servers but feel that some semblance of balance should be maintained throughout the timeline.
