After continuing to experiment, I was able to determine that it apparently was a faulty Nvidia DLL file. I rolled back my driver from current (474.41 as of this writing) to the previous and have been able to fly with no issues. No idea why it was like this given that I seem to be the only one having this particular issue, but 3+ hours of flying have seemingly shown it for what it is.

At this point, my game will close without warning after being in the air between 2-5 minutes. Happens on multiple maps, different airframes, multiplayer and solo. Initially I thought it might be a memory issue, so I bought more and went from 16gb to 32gb, but the issue remains. I have double checked, updated, and in some cases reinstalled drivers. I have run chkdsk, sfc, DCS repair (multiple times). I fully reinstalled DCS. I have tried changing my video resolution as well as going from full screen to windowed. Nothing has changed. I got one day of flying for the better part of 3 hours, but aside from that I have been almost entirely unable to play DCS and I have *no* idea why I was able to fly more or less fine that one day.
