When testing out ai bombing runs, I noticed that the S-300 site in the mission would fire correctly at the aircraft when it was visible on radar, but would then start firing all of its missiles after the aircraft dropped into the terrain for cover. The missiles would travel a few meters into the air before exploding. The sam site was then unable to protect itself because it expended all of its ammunition. I tried to search the forums for this problem but I could not find any similar bugs. SA-10 Launch.trk

After testing it out, I've concluded that there is no operational difference between TEL C and D modelled in DCS. I did, however, notice that the labels in game are correct for the model shown, while the unit names displayed in the mission editor and after-action report are incorrect for the model shown. I made a mistake with the default template, it's actually 4 TEL-Cs and 2 TEL-Ds. So if they are misnamed then the model is wrong but the template composition is right. If they aren't misnamed then the model is right but the template composition is wrong (should be more master TELs than slave TELs).

After reading both the Wikipedia article and the DCS air defense reference guide for the S-300, I've figured out that the master TEL is identifiable by the large box behind the cab, whereas the slave TEL only has a spare tire in its place. In DCS this would mean that the TEL-D is the master TEL, but both articles state that the TEL-D is the slave TEL. Furthermore, the S-300 template in DCS has 2 TEL-Cs and 4 TEL-Ds. Do they have the wrong models or are they misnamed and the template has the wrong composition of launcher types?
