I am referring to the common/shared file that used to be called PlaneCannon.ogg. The sound is used as the external sound on the Mig-21, M-2000C, and Gazelle among others. It has an extremely low rate of fire (think ww2 Hispano cannon) and is extremely quiet. Prior to the sound file encryption I used a mod that replaced it with the UPK-23-2 gun pod sound which was far more fitting to the gun on the Mig-21 and sounded better overall on the others. I feel that if you are going to encrypt the sound files and take away our options to tweak this issue on our own, you owe it to the players to implement this simple fix on these aircraft. Again, I will reiterate this is not an issue with these modules, it is a core sound from DCS.
