Are there  any news regarding a possible implimentation of the Garmin 430 module for the Huey?

Did you map it for both seats in the AH 64? (Pilot and CPG)

Firstly did you set the controls up using the VPC Configuration tool?

If so, did you make profiles for the controllers (Joystick and Collective). You basically need to tell the programm which base with what grip you are using.

And at last you are able to check if all buttons work with the VPC configuration tool. If they do you should have no trouble by binding your controlls in DCS.

To be honest i would love to see a modern utility helicopter coming to DCS. But I don´t think that our UH 1H can be upgraded to UH1 N. A good compromise in my eyes, would be to make a optional upgrade to the cockpit of the UH-1H. I mainly would love to see a MFD and a keyboard unit added to the cockpit. It would be totally fine if those could only show navigation and radio pages. I think this would be a good compromise and far more realistic then a upgrade to the UH 1 N.

Are you using anything to control the anti torque pedals?

[Target State Estimator (TSE)]

I just looked it up in the manual:

Laser Range Finder and Designator (LRFD) The TADS Laser Range Finder Designator (LRFD) can provide both range to and designation of a target. In both instances, the aircraft must be armed to operate the LRFD. To range a target, the TEDAC RHG LRFD trigger is pulled to the first detent and three ranging pulses are emitted. To designate a target, the TEDAC RHG LRFD trigger is pulled to the second detent and a continuous laser pulse is emitted. Pulling the LRFD trigger to the second detent also engages the Target State Estimator (TSE). General guidance with regards to the laser are: If neither the target nor the aircraft is moving use first detent ranging, otherwise use continuous second detent designation to employ the TSE.

In short it helps you to target targets who are on the move and/or whille your aircraft moves.

[George any good as CPG?]

Here a few points regarding george especially helpful when employing hellfires:

-only use consent to fire mode, otherwise george willl fire the missle as soon as he gets a lock on the target

- another thing to watch out for, is that george is unable to identify obstacles in front of targets. Resulting in non direct hit or even miss. To solve that bring up the TADS Video on your MPD so you can make sure there are no obstacles in the way
