  1. Now THAT worked!! It was a big improvement, thanks! Right now I'm playing with FOV multipliers to squeeze a little bit of extra smoothness.
  2. Yes, I restart DCS and the Meta Quest Link Service after each change. I don't know why it isn't doing anything. I'll try to reinstall everything and see what happens.
  3. It turns out ASW was already disabled in the Debug Tool, but it seems that ODT settings are being ignored, they just don't work. I had already noticed that the Pixel Override didn't work because I could only notice better resolution when increasing the Quest Link slider, but I just tried to lower FOV multipier all the way to 50;50 and didn't notice any change. It seems pretty obvious that the tool isn't working. I don't know if I missed something, any previous step that I should've done to make the Debug Tool work.
  4. Thank you, I'll try that. I knew it was going to be demanding, but I thought that the GPU was going to be the limiting factor, not the CPU. I havent tried Open XT toolkit yet. Does it supersede Meta Oculus Debug Tool?
  5. Sadly I'm not managing to get settings to a sweet spot that works for me. For some reason I'm having CPU bound fps drops from 72 to 36 according to DCS fps counter, even whith active pause on in a simple 1vs2 P51 dogfight caucasus scenario. Of course it works perfectly smooth in 2d.
  6. That particular setting definitely isn't working for me either. I'm having the exact same experience as you, with the link slider working just fine but not when when leaving the slider in 1x and using the debug tool override parameter instead. Also, I'm seeing that many parameters don't save and I have to write them again every time I launch it.
  7. Quoting Qcumber: It's in the "...Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics" folder.
  8. null Oculus debug tool pixel override doesn't seem to be working or I'm doing something wrong. I typed that 1.5 and hit Service- restart Oculus Service, but there is no difference ingame. Moving the slider to 1.5 either in DCS VR tab or in the Meta Quest app works, though. That way I get a good enough image quality specially regarding cockpit gauges and labels, which is a priority for me. I could use a little bit more smoothness in rolls and turns so I guess I'll have to sacrifice something for better fps. Oh, Im launching DCS with Open XR option rather than Oculus VR, since I read DCS supports OpenXR natively. Should I be doing otherwise?
  9. Thank you all, guys. I'll stick to Quest Link then and start my fiddling. I had a crash yesterday but I think It was because I increased pixel density in the Link App and forgot that I already had increased the multiplier in the DCSs VR tab too. Is there any difference/advantage between tweaking pixel density ingame vs Link App?
  10. Ryzen 7 5800X, 64GB RAM, GTX 5070Ti freshly installed
  11. I'm familiar with dcs gfx options and I'm playing with them, but I don't even know where to start tweaking the VR settings, ingame VR tab? Occulus menu? Third party app?
  12. I'm currently using precisely that usb cable option and is working just fine. Next step is fiddling with different options to improve visuals and performance which I fear means entering a whole new rabbit hole.
  13. Hi! I'm quite new in all things VR and trying to compile tips and recomendations to make the best of it. I keep reading how must people use Virtual Desktop and I wonder why is it. I have a Quest3 with USB link and use the native Quest desktop thingie to access my PC. It works ok, but I guess there is some reason why most of you use that program.
  14. I guess it's because fog needs to have a wide gradient of density and visibility distance impact from mist with >1km visibility to thick fog with almost zero visibility. Cloud system in the sim may be simpler in that regard.
  15. This new fog system sounds spectacular. Though it will require a lot of updating and testing in existing campaigns/missions, I reckon.
