I think this is a special derivative of the standart FAB-250 used only in MiG-25 for high altitude high speed bombing. It has much better thermal isolation to allow for the higher friction with the air at speed of about Mach 3. AFAIK the range of these bombs when dropped from 25k at about Mach2.8 is about 50-60km !

Re: ОЛС и Р-27Р ОК. Отвечу. It's a bug. We fixed it. No. SARH missile can track and hit target with radar on and track target in STT mode. SARH can launch in passive mode if target use ECM. In that case the SARH seeker to track ECM radiations. Спасибо за ответ, но я все таки не понял возможна ли одновременная работа КОЛС и радара в реале и если да как ето будет моделировано в адоне... Если правильно вспоминаю, в МиГ-29 есть специальная кнопка, которая включает ОЛС одновременно с радаре, но ето возможно только в режиме "Догон". Да и сейчас ОЛС включается когда радар теряет захват, но после етого радар никогда снова не захватывает цель... Разве идея одновременны работы двус систем такая, когда первая потеряет цель вторая стремится захват удержит, а первая захват возобновить... Если Вы отстраните возможность наведать Р-27Р ОЛС, тогда должна быть возможность : 1.You lock him 2.Fire R27ER -> 3.he will try to turn 90 to you-> 4.Your radar looses lock but switches to EOS mode (this can be seen on the hud where the I symbol changes to O) - 5.You R-27ER countinues to receive general datalink guidance from the EOS (but its semiactive head does not locks the target, so its not possible to hit the target) . 6. The target changes its aspect ratio to you (e.g turns towards you) 7.Your radar AUTOMATICALLY locks it again, since its knows where the target is from the EOS 8.Your R-27R passive seeker have the chance to lock and hit the target Я думаю все ето сейчас есть в Локоне, с исключением 7. Some time ago in Lomac forums there was a discussion whether OLS should be able to guide radar missiles. Some guy have noticed that when you launch a passive radar missile in radar mode and then the target starts beaming you, you will eventually loose radar lock but then your onboard computer will automatically switch to EOS (ОЛС) and will continue to track the target AND THE ROCKET wich will most likely hit the target... He assumed this is a bug. This can be easily confirmed in QMB flying against a single bot. You lock him->Fire R27ER -> he will try to turn 90 to you-> Your radar looses lock but switches to EOS mode (this can be seen on the hud where the I symbol changes to O) -> you R-27ER countinues to track him and (most likely) hits him. But I think there is explanation for this. AFAIK when beamed the radar looses lock because there is no doppler shift of the frequency from the reflected signal. But when the target is tracked by the EOS the radar knows where the target is and can continue illuminating it, so that the R-27R passive seeker can still home on it. It can work like the EOS telling the radar where to vector its beam. So I think this is theoretically possible and should not be considered a bug.... Furthermore in the original MiG-29 manual available in the web it is stated that there is a special switch which enable the SIMULTANIOUS use of EOS and radar, which is not possible in lockon. So is this a bug? and if not how is going this to be modelled in the upcoming addon.
