  1. so after this patch the game is pretty much unplayible, MP crashes after acouple mins and i can't drop cbu's in SP now either. pretty animation for a bomb that crashes CTD isn't a improvement, not sure how this patch even made it through the testers.
  2. I just put both BS2 and a10 on the new laptop, runs at 60+ fps with all setting on high and 1920 x 1080. The only downside is I spent $3500 bucks on the laptop (m17x r3 alienware) so if you'd like to run the sim(s) on a laptop your gonna have to put down some cash and as far as mobile gaming...your gonna get about 30 mins before your going to need power :0/
  3. Found out tonight even with a full new install this patch pretty much shacked MP. I can't drop a cbu or engange AP consistently without a ctd. SP seems to be good.
  4. thx reflew the mission worked perfect.
  5. Copy that thank you, so is it a good rule of thumb to turn on both rotor and engine de-icing when you get the icing warning? I wasn't sure if the set power indacator lights where tring to tell me if I was working the engines to hard but I guess that was also the case.
  6. ok same thing happened, heres a track, it's just as i pass waypoint 3 i believe and start heading to the peak on the mountain. https://files.me.com/wess24m/t1jz2c
  7. Copy that, I'm restarting the mission and I'll upload the track.
  8. so finaly got over the ridge but my wingmen could not, I believe that ridge is just below max alt for the blackshark (like 20 feet) so get to my hold point and crash...*sigh*
  9. yup did that, theres no warning, i get something that feels like my rotors are unbalenced then turbine overspeed then crash.
  10. keep getting a turbine over speed then crash and burn at the same spot, when your cross the high mountain ridge. anybody have a guess of the cause?
  11. Before I used to adjust the gain manually. I noticed in the tgp control page u can switch between agc (automatic gain control) and mgc (manual gain control)
  12. Had a question about the tgp gain. Is it automatic with the release of this patch? I agree it looks much better.
  13. Just in time my new rudder pedals are coming today
  14. Just getting back into BS with the release of BS2 and i've got rudder pedals enroute, so i'm brushing up on my weapons usage and all that. The "easy flight model" with the "use for all missions" checkbox is all setup and it's hit or miss. Some missions it will be the easy flight model and some it will revert back to realistic flight model. Also if somebody can explain the "center trim" checkbox, is that dependant if you are using FFB stick? As i did in BS I hold down trim and release when i'm at where I want the trim to be, If that makes a difference.

    HDR

just wondering which HDR setting everbody is using. I didn't see a huge diffrence.
  16. agreed, I hardly notice it anymore.
  17. Perfect, thank you for the response.
  18. I had a similar question, if the engines always operate at optimum rpm ect (as I've read) besides burning a lot of fuel is it bad to operate the engines at full thrust for extended periods? I know that airliners engines #I know whole different animal# aren't made to run at full thrust for extended periods. In fact they rarely are at full throttle at takeoff #airliners) so since the hog uses turbo fan engines also is there a difference?
  19. learn how to use markpoints and make them your best friend. mucho usefull
  20. the mission where i've be practising the cdu entry is shooting range and the line you speak of is which one i've been changing if needed. For all our discussions all it would take is somebody giving me the proper (in update 1.0.0.9) steps to take. all the tutorials are from older versions when the cdu was working correctly, or should say jtac i guess.
  21. thx for the reply, how to you personaly (steps wise) go about getting cords from jtac, changing your spheroid if needed, and inputing the UTM? because if i knew how somebody that was doing it and having it work It would no longer be a issue and I could focus on the other irritating bugs in dCS :)
  22. So check which spheroid your in (via map or other) change it in the cdu waypoint page above where you enter your LL or grid code (last line on the bottom left) and then you should be good? I'm just trying to understand that. Ive seen it mentioned in post but don't get where the missing number goes when you enter cords. I have been changing the spheroid to where my position page is indicating that i'm in and it didn't seem to work. I don't claim to be doing everything right or i wouldn't have an issue with the cords, just reguardless of how many post i've read can't seem to get a good and correct cord. Is there maybe a how-to guide on how to correct your spheroid (if needed) and add this mysterous missing zero(s) somewhere on this forum site? because i've yet to find one.
  23. So thats why they (supposaly) fixed it in this upcoming release and theres a mod in the forums to correct the missing numbers from jtac is because thats the way it should be? I don't buy your answer
  24. I've tried that as well, I may not be doing that correctly and havn't seen a how-to for changing that. The way I was doing it was looking at my position info then using the "spheroid" from that because i know i'm close to wqhere jtac wants me. I still don't see how it's incorrect that we're not getting bad info if jtac is missing numbers of the cords...sounds like bad info to me.
  25. I loving how detailed the CDU is and use it for everything except what i'd like to use it most for.....entering cords from jtac into it. Ive read lots of tutorials and videos and "hacks" to get it right and when i enter the cords that i get from jtac (even when i add missing numbers) it gives me a point far away. if i go back and enter the LL from jtac on the msg screen on my right mfd all goes well. It's not a matter of knowing how to enter these things, it's a matter of being given bad info..
